Finding a nicer more original. better documented. numbers matching 1970 Chevelle Super Sport would be very difficult if not impossible to find. This absolutely rust free Georgia car has just 74. 07 documented original miles. The body and floors are simply amazing. Many of the "original" markings remain. as does the original spatter paint in the trunk. Documentation includes 3 build sheets. Protect-O-Plate attached to the Protection Plan Booklet. dealer's invoice. original loan papers. odometer disclosure statements. pictures of where the car was found in Georgia and a Georgia title history. The title history provides copies of the Manufacturer's Statement of providing to a Motor Vehicle. the dealers title application and the original title in addition to providing a partial owner history. The original owner traded in his 1967 Chevrolet Camaro at Thorton Chevrolet. Inc. in Litha Springs; Georgia on February 02. 970 to purchase this car. which he owned until May of 1980. According to pictures and notes that accompany the car. it was found in a shed in Georgia where it had been for approximately 11 years. We purchased the vehicle in March 2007. nbsp; and the car was transported back to Central Montana in a fully enclosed trailer. Since then it has been stored in a heated/air condition shop that is monitored by video camera and alarm systems 24/7. This car has been driven very little since. and only a few short drives during the summertime. The rust and patch free body has been repainted just once in its original hue. paint code 25. Astro Blue. The body is superb and arrow straight. The paint is exceptional but not perfect. The dark blue vinyl top is factory original and in excellent condition as well. All of the exterior chrome. moldings. glass. and weather stripping are in excellent condition. Additionally. all of the suspension and steering components are new. On the inside everything is original including the carpet (still has the dated manufacturers tag). and is in like new condition. In fact. one of the build sheets was found glued to the back of the drivers door side panel. That build sheet still resides there today as removing it would have destroyed it. The numbers matching 396 CID engine has been rebuilt and produces 400 HP. The engine starts and runs superbly. and the choke is in place and working. and there are no leaks and no smoking on start up or otherwise or absouletly no strange noises to be heard. New aluminized exhaust has been installed from the manifolds back and includes high performance mufflers. The original GM exhaust tips were in great shape so they were simply cleaned and reinstalled. The original turbo 400 transmission has also been rebuilt and his home to a mild 2500 rpm stall converter. Combined with the 3. 31 gears this car is a true joy to drive. Significant options include factory air conditioning. power steering. power disc brakes. bucket seats. console. tinted glass. F 41 suspension. wheel opening mouldings. 350 Hp 396 VID engine. turbo 400 automatic transmission. 3. 31 gear ratio 12 bolt rear differential and AM/FM Delco Radio.
