Up for Sale is a remarkable Barn find Station Wagon. This Wagon was purchased at McNett Chevrolet in Stockton Illinois for the STOCKTON FIRE DEPARTMENT on April 25 1968 and was owned by the department until sold to the second owner in 1996 and became road worthy by the third local owner in 2014 with the addition of a new radiator. plugs and wires. and fuel pump. and battery. and new exhaust. I recently drove this wagon over 100 miles on the expressway at 65 to 72 miles an hour with no problems at all. the engine runs fine and has no noises. the power glide shifts nice and smooth with no issues. so it is road worthy. The Body condition is very good. with very minimal rust on the rear wheel openings and lower rear quarters. and the lower front fenders. Please see the photos. Doors and tailgate. are in great working order and rust free. both the inner and outer rockers and floor pans are rust free. There are no holes in the roof because the emergency light bar was clamped to the drip rails and has one screw in each drip rail . All of glass is in very good condition and operational. The Frame is rusted out on the bottom where water sat from being washed every day. I'm not saying it cant be fixed or repaired. but I have a good rolling complete frame chassis for replacement that would be included with the sale. The Interior is good condition. the headliner has two small tears that can be repaired. the front drivers bottom seat can be repaired. the arm rest covers need replacement. the carpet needs replacement. the dash has some small mounting or switch holes. the rear compartment floor and side panels need to be repainted. I am probably missing something. so just ask me. but it is probably best to come look at it. located in Lemont 60439Included with sale = = = Original window sticker.
