Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969
I’ve recently moved and unfortunately I do not have the garage space for my beloved 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Baldwin Motion Tribute. Not too dissimilar from this: https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=hA8HJ_lorY0Car will be sold one way or another and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as it will be listed locally as well. Qualified parties can have a mechanic inspect it or you come see it in person (encouraged). Buyer is solely responsible for shipping. I’ve owned it for approximately six years and it has been well maintained. loved and looked over / worked on by a local expert (spent over $5. 00 on many small improvements such as correct nuts. alignment. linkages. etc). The car is awesome and has significant dollars / time into its build before I purchased it. It’s a Van Nuys. CA built vehicle and has spent a lot of its life on the west coast. It’s not driven in the rain and has been kept in a heated garage as long as I’ve owned it. The body and paint were done by a high-end Mopar restorer and the body is solid and the bodywork is exceptional. The gaps and panel fit are excellent and the body is laser straight. There is one small dimple on the passenger rear quarter panel (less than dime sized and not noticeable) that I believe can be easily fixed. The paint is a PPG Base / Clear and was color sanded and buffed to a mirror finish when I purchased it. The engine is a rebuilt. low mile LS6 Spec 454 (originally from a 1970 Chevelle and estimated to have fewer than 6. 00 miles on rebuilt engine). It is a high compression engine and high octane fuel is recommended. It still has the correct 291 heads and cam. with an added aftermarket aluminum intake and Demon 850 carburetor. Other additions include MSD ignition. big Super Comp headers. Flow Master type exhaust. Car is estimated to push out over 500hp. Rear end has been freshened and is a 12 bolt POSI with 4. 10 gears and c-clip eliminators. Interior is basically new but what was in good shape was re-used. It is a standard black interior with console. aftermarket gauges and a period correct Dixco tach and a beautiful Rosewood steering wheel. The underside of the car is not undercoated and is clean and solid. A rotisserie restoration wasn’t performed because the car is built to drive. Car comes with the correct style rubber mat for the trunk along with a spare tire and jack. Please note. the pictures are from when I purchased it but the vehicle looks the same. Options Include:LS6 spec 454 Engine12 bolt rear-end with 4. 10 POSICorrect style stinger hoodCorrect NOS fly eye air cleanerPower disc brakesRosewood steering wheelFront and rear spoilersAM/FM/CDTorque thrust wheels with Goodyear Poly Glas tiresNOS SS427 emblemsTraction bars About Baldwin Motion:The original Baldwin-Motion Performance Group (1967-1974) represented a partnership between Baldwin Auto Company. a franchised Chevrolet dealership dating back to the early-1920s and Motion Performance. a high-profile speed shop with a reputation for building fast Chevys. Both were located in Baldwin. Long Island. NY. a New York City suburb. Starting in 1967 and running through 1974. Baldwin-Motion offered SS (425-hp) and Phase III (500-hp and up) big-block Camaros. Novas. Chevelles. Corvette's and Biscayne Street Racer Specials. Cars were sold at Baldwin Chevrolet or Motion Performance. converted by Motion and financed and delivered by Baldwin. Phase III 427 and 454 cars came with a written. money back. quarter-mile performance guaranty from Joel Rosen. “We think so much of our Phase III Supercars that we guaranty they will turn at least 120 mph in 11. 50 seconds or better with an M/P-approved driver on an AHRA or NHRA-sanctioned drag strip. Phase III Supercars are completely streetable. reliable machines that will run these times off the street. ” There never was a single comeback!
