Up for bid. 1980 Camaro z28. LT1 350. 4speed. this car is a original z28 that was restored about 20 years ago. it was in great condition prior to restoration and for the most as been restored close to original. just after restoration the car was stored in a climate controlled building until a few years ago. at that time we put the current engine in. The engine is not original and is a gen1 LT1 with aluminum corvette heads. nbsp;it was rebuilt last year and has as about 300 miles on it. During the restoration the car was repainted to the original GM antique white and re striped with GM decals. The undercarriage was stripped and painted with automotive paint; the floor boards and firewall are pained the original antique white to match the cars exterior. The subframe. rearend and steering components are gloss black. there is no rust anywhere on this car that I am aware of. nor has there ever been any rust repair work. I would estimate that there are less than 2500 miles on the car since it was restored in the early 90s. This is a really nice car that is reliable and show worthy as it sits. There are some scratches on the rear end. nbsp;subframe and elsewhere from jacking etc and some bolts that could use touched up that were originally clear coated and now have some oxidation. The interior is original with no modifications with the exception of floor mats. nbsp;an oil pressure gauge which is only screwed in on the underside of the dash and could easily be removed. also artermarket speakers were installed in the tray behind the rear seats where the originals were. otherwise all original and in good condition. I will not rate the condition of any part of this car since it would only be "my opinion". I recommend if you have these concerns that you come see the car or have a third party come and evaluate the mechanical and cosmetic features for you. The wheels are the original aluminum and the tires were new in 2009 and only have about 500 miles on them: BF Goodrich Radial T/A. front- 215 65 15. rear- 275 65 15The engine was a low miles LT1 that we rebuilt back to standard bore with no internal modifications. bolt on mods are; Hooker ceramic coated headers. Edelbrock performer intake. Holley Street Avenger carburetor. electric fuel pump. I believe he rear end gears are the 308 gears that were original but I cannot confirm . the owner that restored the car installed custom fabricated traction bars that fit nicely under the leaf springs. included with the sale is the original air induction air cleaner and the rear sway bar. the 4 speed transmission and rear end housing are the originals.
