Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1984
I'm selling my C4 Corvette project due to health reasons. I like lightweight. unique sports cars that can be built on the cheap. I purchased a running (175. 00 miles) but completely trashed 1984 C4 Corvette and have stripped everything that isn't needed away. A friend of mine that owns a race car chassis shop constructed the tubular Exoskeleton that is bolted to the Corvette tub. It can be permanently welded to the tub as well. The stock radiator has been left in place. But. the front frame rails can be cut off and the radiator moved rearward if a shorter snout is wanted. The Corvette has a crossfire 5. 7 liter V8 and an automatic transmission. The independent aluminum suspension is the best part of the Corvette and it is left intact. My intention was to keep the engine and transmission but convert the engine over to a CARB set up. I have the stock ECU but the wiring harness has been cut. The plastic fuel tank goes with the car but no seats are included. The stock wheels are included. The tires are junk. Hot Rod magazine stripped down a C4 and ran it at a track. If you google "Corvette Hack Track Test" you can see a video. Later they built a full cage for it and ran it against a new corvette on a track. By reducing weight the C4 is a great performer. I am having cross bracing added to the roll hoop and this will be done before the car is sold. The lower horizontal bar of the roll hoop is being lowered and a diagonal bar is being added from the passenger side to the drivers side. The front drivers side tie rod is bent. The tub and the rest of the suspension appears to be in good condition. After purchasing the car I drove it on and off my trailer. I have not driven it any more than that. Sold as is with out any warranty. I have a clean title for the Vette. It is located in Rumney. NH. It can be rolled onto a trailer for transport. Thanks for looking.
