Description for Chevrolet C-10 1965

Up for auction is my 1965 Chevy C10 long bed. I bought in back in the fall with intentions working on her and possibly doing a V-8 swap over the winter and make my Harley hauler but. well. life happens and she just sits in garage so I decided to see if I couldn't find her a good home. She is a good ole truck that runs and drives stops and steers. Engine is a 6cyl. Not sure of year but looks to be newer then truck with electronic ignition and new tune up and brand new carburetor. Transmission is a 3 speed manual converted to the floor with a Hurst Super Competition shifter. Has had quite a bit of work done including Being lowered 3". I think. nbsp;with new shocks and springs. Updated wiring and fuse box. New windshield. New door latches and window regulators. New tailgate hardware. lights. and more. Body is real solid for age. Couple spots on inner fender wells (pictured) and some dings etc. does have one spot on middle of roof that has some filler that cracked. Looks like a dent was filled and not prepped properly. Has had rockers replaced at some time and some floor and support work. Doors are solid and is real nice around all the windows windshield. etc. that are usually rotted. bed is real nice with shaved back up lights and bed stake pockets and roll pan installed. Tailgate is also in great condition Truck is not perfect by any means but a good example. and just Cool!!! It is 50 years old. Paint looks to be just a quickie and bubbled around gas filler. Floor in bed looks to be redone not too long ago. Frame is in excellent condition. Tried showing a couple pictures. Interior is really nice. Seat has been redone recently and inside painted. Everything works including all outside lights. dash lights. dome light. nbsp;turn signals. radio. wipers. horn. Heat does work but needs to hooked to a switch. Gas gauge does not work. Tank is still behind seat and does not look to be wired up. May just need wired to gauge. I also have some new weather-strip for doors and a delay wiper module for single speed wipers. I will toss in with itIt does still have manual drum brakes and manual steering. Brakes have been gone through and stop on a dime. Did notice front drums are grabbing a little bit much in gravel. may need backed off a little. Steering is nice and tight. Looks to have been redone but I am also including everything to do the Power steering conversion including a nice new chrome tilt column (See Pictured). Also all new conversion brackets. nbsp; power steering box and all necessary joints and shaft and pitman arm to complete. Pump is already mounted to engine. I will also throw in the V-8 engine pictured. I heard run last year and run good but am pretty sure in needs head gaskets. Someone put heads on recently and believe installed wrong as it had water in oil. It is a crate engine of some kind by engine stamp. Told 4 bolt main bored . 10 over but have not dropped pan. I would at least pull apart to check everything and re gasket before installing. Also have balancer. pulleys. dist. flywheel and misc. accessories for it. I have tried to be as honest as I can with pics. and description. It is what it is. Nothing fancy but would make a nice little run around. Daily drive her now or drop a v-8 in her to make her fly. It does need tires on her. They have some dry rot on them from sitting and those are fake white walls. I have an extra set of original rims I am throwing in as well. That would probably be only hold up driving any long distance. I haven't drove too much and haven't had but a few months but steering is tight and brakes are good. A little cold natured but has manual choke. Shifts good and feels pretty tight. I welcome anyone to come over and check out before you bid. I drive it around town now and again and does just fine for what it is. If you are looking for a new one or a show truck. this aint it. If you are looking for a good ole Chevy truck to cruise around and tinker on. This could be the one for you. Clean title in my name and matching Vin on body. Well if you are still reading then you are either interested or bored . It is not for sale local and if reserve is met. it will sell here only. Reserve is fair for truck and crappier ones I have seen on here . and I honestly have a lot more in it so Bid to win. I love the truck but just have other stuff going on and an old CJ7 that is my current money pit. Open to an offer if serious. I am not hard pressed to sell though. A $250 deposit is due within 24 hours via PayPal and the rest is due in 7 days. I do accept Cashiers check and bank drafts but truck will not leave till they clear my bank. If you are wanting shipped. that is your responsibility. Happy to work with your shipper to get loaded etc. and once paid for it can sit here for a little while if needed. I have no way to haul it to you. If you are coming to get it. Bring cash. Thanks for looking and good luck. look at all the pics. and feel free to ask questions. Sure I forgot something. Again you are welcome to come look at. Have a great day!!
