Very rare 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle "300" 2 door wagon. What makes it rare is the original 350 hp 327 (L-79). This car has been out of service since 1980 (35 years) as license plate shows. Production of V8 '65 "300" 2 dr. SW is only 649. 95% were 283's. some 250 and 300 H. P. 327's. Maybe the only L79 ever produced. I have never seen one. never heard of one. N. 3863150 DGPaint code: KK Artesian Turquoise. Has original alternator. distributor. 2. 02 "461" cylinder heads. original valve covers. air cleaner and shifter. Car shows 44K miles. but probably 144. 00 miles. Rust free fenders. doors. hood. quarters. tail gate. mint frame. 3/8 gas line. needs some work in foot wells of floors. All nice "soft ray" tinted glass including original windshield. Has padded dash. no rust in dash or cowl area. Rust in spare tire well. Has power tailgate window. Car is located in MA. It now runs and drives. I have replaced (4) wheel cylinders. brake shoes & hoses. hardware. master cylinder and packed wheel bearings. Being sold with original wheels and newer tires. not Rallye wheels. Also has CA. pink slip. original black plates. Sold new at Connell Chevrolet in Costa Mesa. CA. They are still in business. Car is in need of restoration. *Unfortunately no original paperwork. Matching numbers (Vin stamp on pad) verify car was born with that engine.
