Description for Chevrolet C-10 1964
1964 Chevrolet C-10 Short Narrow BedThis is an original farm truck with 45. 50 miles on it. it still had the original heater core in it. Original paint truck that was discovered in a storage facility. No rusty cancer at all because it came from eastern Oregon and was stored inside. It has surface rust that was treated and then the whole truck was taken apart and painted with flat clear to preserve the original patina. the drivers door has a crack and a crease in it from when the door strap broke at one point in its life. the strap has been repaired. The truck was taken apart to rebuild all the systems in it. It has a gm 12 bolt rearend with a posi in it. we replaced the original coil/trailing arm suspension with leaf springs. the rear frame section was c-notched for full travel because of lowering. New rear wheel cylinders have been installed. along with a new shock mounting system to work with the drop. new hard steel brake lines have been run down the frame as well as a new fuel line. the gas tank was removed from behind the seat and a new tank was installed between the rear frame rails. it has a filler neck in the bed. The bed floor is brand new. stained and clearcoated with a very heavy marine varnish. custom brass screws finish off the bed detail. new tail lights and wiring. they work perfectly. the cab was gutted. floors clean and then installed sound deadening on the floors and part way up the back wall. then a new factory style rubber floor mat was installed. anew glove box liner was installed. the steering column is a custom piece made to convert from a floor shift 3 speed to a column shift auto. it retains the factory steering wheel. All the gauges work and we installed a new fuel gauge to work with the new tank. A pair of custom pods we made to house a set of exile audio speakers up front. the are made out of wood and fiberglass and painted black. behind the seat rests a 800 watt exile audio amp along with a 10" sub in a custom box. found inside the pouch in the front seat is a cord to plug your phone or ipod into to listen to music. the dash does not house a radio. in fact it has a very rare radio delete panel. this is so cool because when you look in the truck it doesnt look like it has a sound system. when in fact this thing really sounds nice and clear and the sub hits hard. the factory seat was covered with a new "indian blanket" style seat cover. door glass rolls up and down freely and the doors latch and lock nicely. the key even locks the doors from outside. it has the original gm keys. The windshield and rubber was replaced with a new ones. the door hinge pins were replaced for smooth operation. The original 6 cylinder was yanked out in favor of a stock chevrolet 350 v8. it has a new 4 barrel carb along with ram horns exhaust. nothing fancy here and has plenty of power to move this truck along and does nice burn offs. A turbo 350 tranny is shifted by the steering column. very clean looking. it now has power steering thanks to a late model tahoe gear. it also has power brakes thanks again to a late chevrolet truck. an aluminum radiator performs the cooling chores with the help of a stock engine driven cooling fan. the heater core was pulled out. cleaned and pressure tested. it works fine. new halogen headlights rest whee the old t3 units use to be. new battery cables installed along with heater hoses. we wanted to lower it without losing driveability. so we took out the front cross member and notched the frame 3" and then slid the cross member up into the fra. and welded it back in place. the next 3" came from drop spindles. we did not even have to use drop springs. it has stock springs for full travel. It now has new rotors from CPP to convert it to disc brakes. they retain the 6 bolt pattern. new calipers and ball joint and used control arms off of a later chevy. aligned it and it drives like a dream. the front and rear bumpers were both prepped and treated to the same clear coat as the rest of the truck. new wiper arms and blades keep the new windshield clean while its raining. The rear wheels are chevrolet rally wheels and the front are isuzu. wheels were prepped and painted a custom vintage mustard color and then clear coated with matte clear. new chrome lug nuts. The truck is listed as is where is. it is also listed locally. no warranty expressed or implied. you must have a papypal account to bid. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of auction ending. the balance is due via money order/cashiers check/cash within 7 days of auction ending. if the balance is not paid in that time frame you forfeit your deposit and I will relist the truck. out of country bidders check with me before bidding. I will help however I can with dealing with a transport company. check my feedback. im the real deal. please email me with any questions and or more pics if needed. Rodsandchops@gmail. com
