Description for Chevrolet Lumina 1993
This is a west coast car. I am selling this car for my father. From what I can tell from the paperwork that came with this car. the first owner was an attorney in Santa Rosa. CA and owned it 93 through 2012. Lots of paperwork from the original owner is included with the car’s binder. it appears he also spent a lot maintaining this car while he had it. The second owner owned it 2012 through 2013 and was in Fontana. CA. We are in Oregon and are the third owners and we bought the car in 2013. Miles are original actual miles at 49. 55. Car comes with a thick three ring binder of receipts of work done to this car by previous two owners . and receipts that we’ve spent restoring the car since we’ve owned it. I won’t cover all of the details of the receipts and documents the first owner provided (that comes in the car's binder). but I will cover the details which the car's second owner shared with us ----- and the also some details of what we’ve done since we’ve owned it. too. Here are some of the items that the second owner did which he says while he owned this car he spent $2. 00 on: All fluids – brake. antifreeze. trans. and steering. Timing belt. Serpentine belt. Transmission hose/lines. Engine vacuum lines. Tune up/plugs and wires. Front brakes. New passenger mirror. Keyless entry system with key chain remote. Car has auto door locks and unlocks vs. manual. Since we’ve owned the car since 2013. we decided to spend money to fix and factory paint color several cosmetic minor door dings and body dings. On 7/1/13. we spent a grand total of $3. 13. 70 in cosmetic work at a local auto body shop to bring this car up to the next level condition wise. This car has never been wrecked. We just wanted dings out and a nice factory repaint over much of the car. Have receipts with details of the body shop work. We wanted the car to look good up close as it did from 20 feet. Other items we’ve done: 7/11/13. purchased four all new tires: P225/60R-16 97T Eclipse All Seasons BW - $569. 24 (our discounted price. regular price is higher). Tires come with a warranty at Les Schwab Tires. New wiper blades installed-5620 20” touring ultra wiper blade $28. 88 (our discounted price. regular price is higher). 7/11/13. the following work was done at a local car car specialsts shop by certified mechanics: Battery install new battery $130. 37. Synthetic oil service 5W30 $69. 95. New air filter installed $7. 95. Head to toe inspection of the car’s mechanics and operational functions. sheet states in part “……. All fluids have been changed. Trans pan and oil pan gaskets have been done. No curb rash on wheels. Has aftermarket keyless entry system that operates properly. Aftermarket stereo that has head for Bluetooth. A/C cold and does not leak………. 8/1/13. investigate cooling fan concern and verify all fans working properly $48. 47. Replace upper and lower radiator hoses $226. 92. Replace fuel filter $67. 42. Investigate hood latch cable on drivers side $48. 47. Brake job rear disc 2x – replaced rear brake pads. lubed calipers. adjust e-brake as required. machine rotors test drive and inspect fluid level $150. 00. Brake fluid service $79. 94. Parking brake cable. replace front cable $116. 34. Install new hood latch release cable $153. 29. AC Convert –evac AC system retrofit to R-134 recharge and performance install retrofit kit per manufacturer specs $299. 94. AC Service-hook up a/c machine to vehicle. charge systems and performance test $54. 19. Replace center brake light bar on rear window $45. 04. On 8/23/13 we had this car’s under side professionally undercoated at a car detail shop near Portland. OR $225. We do this to all of our cars as a rust and protective / preventative measure. 5/22/14. replaced rear crankshaft main bearing seal $780. 33. Remove and replace leaking near cam cover – fixed $48. 47. Replaced coolant outlet tube $48. 47. Car comes with original Chevrolet owner’s manual for glove box. Car also comes with a new front license plate plastic holder. It comes in black only from the factory. So we had the body shop paint the new license plate holder in the correct factory grey color so it matches the car paint perfectly no matter what plates are on the car. Car comes with two black plastic cup holders (pictured) mounted to the side of the center floor console on the passenger side. We ordered these in 2014 and had these installed in 2014. Now you can drive with one or two drink cups/cans in the car. $100 we spent on items. postage. and labor for this. This car comes with tinted windows in the rear area of the car. It looks like the original owner had the rear window and backseat rear side windows tinted when he owned it in southern Cal. Three total windows are tinted. Car door windows are not tinted. Just to be real hear. this car is not perfect . and has some minor signs of wear and tear here and there especially drivers area. But overall it really is in very nice condition both mechanically and cosmetically now at this point. Drivers side floor carpet could use a shampoo cleaning to make it look sharper. This car is still under 50. 00 original miles and has had lots of work done. We have invested/spent a couple thousand dollars more in to this car than we are asking for it. We are selling at a big loss. But we are out of garage space and must sell. So this is not a profit maker for us. just going to sell it now and next owner benefits from all of the money in to this car so far. This car has an aftermarket CD stereo installed in the place where the original radio was. Works fine. The gas cap on this car has a lock on it and comes with a gas cap key if you want to lock it. This car looks like it has always been garaged. Also. no leaks that we can tell are going on with this car. Nice car to drive. There are a few small scratches in the front of the car on the underside if the front plastic bumper near the license plate area (pulled up to a curb too close) these scratches a easily fixable with a little bit of factory paint touch up work (five minutes job). The auto door lock mechanism needs a fuse replaced. It auto door locks but is not auto door unlocking. That is likely just a fuse. as it always has worked just fine for us until last week I noticed the automatic door lock button only is locking but not unlocking. This is minor but I am mentioning everything that comes to mind that the next owner would want to know.
