We are the second owners. and we really hate to see this car go. it was completely trashed when we purchased it. and we have done quite a bit to bring it back to its former glory. It is an amazing car. and although it's a sedan. it is by far the best looking one Chevy made in 1957 since there is no "post" between the front and back doors. an easy search on google will explain the difference in "post" and "no-post" if you are unfamiliar. This is obviously not the most collectible model. but it looks amazing. and has room for the entire family to ride in comfort. which is why we purchased it. We have had two little girls since purchasing this car. and have come to the realization that its time to let our Bel Air go to a new home where it can be enjoyed. It breaks our hearts to part with it. and we know that we won't get out nearly what we've put in. but we need the money to help purchase a new home. THE CAR WILL START AND MOVE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. BUT HASN'T BEEN STARTED IN QUITE SOME TIME. I WILL WORK WITH YOU TO MAKE SURE IT RUNS TO YOUR SATISFACTION BEFORE YOU TAKE POSSESSION. This car has been professionally painted in a vivid silver color with a very light touch of purple that can be seen in the daylight. Here are a few things that we have restored/replaced:* Original rebuilt 283 engine with 4 barrel "power-pack" - 0 Miles* New two tone paint* New exhaust - 0 Miles* Original rebuilt radiator - 0 Miles* New carpet for floor* New 12 volt alternator - 0 Miles* New battery - 0 Miles* New carburetor - 0 Miles* Original rebuilt power glide automatic transmission - 0 Miles* Seats completely restored with leather white/black* New headliner* DynaMat throughout firewall and and floor boards (decreases road noise)* New wiring harnessThere are also many other small items we have replaced/rebuilt. but there are too many to list here. and I lose track of everything we have done. Items needed to finish:* Wheels and tires* Exterior trim and bumpers* Windows installed (I have the originals)* Miscellaneous items like windshield wipers* Gauges * Interior trimThere may be a few items I missed. but there aren't many. and I'm happy to take telephone calls to answer any questions you may have. The car is titled in Nevada. but I moved to California and didn't switch the title over since it's at my wife's mothers home in Las Vegas. Nevada. It has been to the DMV for a VIN check. but I'd be happy to let you have another one done before making final payment (I just won't pay to tow the car there).
