This is an absolutely beautiful 1974 Camaro that has been meticulously built for show and go. The car started out as a very clean. low mileage 1974 Z28. Underneath. it received professionally installed frame connectors. heavy duty anti-roll bars. Currie Ford 9” traction-lock 3. 89:1 rear end. and Cal Tracs traction bars. The entire rear end assembly was powder coated. All four corners were upgraded with Aerospace Components ventilated rotor billet disc brakes. All new heavy duty shocks were installed. with air-shocks at rear. Wheels are American Torq-Thrust. with BFG 245-45X17 T/A radials. Front end was completely rebuilt. including a new steering box and power steering pump. A complete 3” Flow Master exhaust system was attached to the ceramic coated Hooker competition headers. and exits at the rear in a pair of chrome tips. All under hood wiring harnesses were replaced. and engine compartment detailed for its new inhabitant…. A 550 HP Chevy 454 with aluminum heads. The engine started out as a four bolt main 454. It was cleaned and magged. and professionally balanced and blue-printed with the best speed parts available and topped with a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads. It uses an air-gap aluminum intake with a new Edelbrock EDL-1813 carburetor (800 cfm) and a Comp Cams CB286H-10 hydraulic cam of 0. 556 lift and 286 degrees duration. Dyno runs produced readings of 550 HP and 550 ft-lb torque. A Lakewood scatter shield bell housing and heavy duty clutch attach to the Muncie transmission and Hurst Competition Plus shifter. A custom made and balanced drive shaft. with safety loop. attach to the Currie built Ford 9” rear end. A custom high capacity polished aluminum radiator with dual 12” electric fans and shroud cool the engine. An after-market Vintage Air air conditioner was installed for those leisure drives on really hot days. All engine accessories are driven by custom aluminum March pulleys. The original saddle interior was changed to black. with new door panels. seats. carpeting. etc. All weather-stripping was replaced. A high rise hood was installed. and a show quality burnt orange paint job. with black Z28 striping was applied. New reproduction front and rear chrome plated aluminum bumpers were installed when the restoration was done four years ago. The rear bumper looks as new. but front bumper is starting to show bubbling of the chrome plating. I could not get pictures to show this flaw. but the reserve price has been adjusted to cover this imperfection. This car runs. looks. and sounds fabulous. Since it is a 37 year old car with a 550 HP engine. there is no guarantee or warrantee of any kind. I am not a dealer. just a fellow car enthusiast.
