Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1967
1967 CORVETTE STING RAY CONVERTIBLE!!A TRUE 427/BIG BLOCK SURVIVOR!!ABSOLUTELY NO RESERVE - HIGHEST BIDDER WILL WIN!!In 1953 the Corvette which. was designed by Harley Earl. made its appearance at the GM Motorama as a concept show car. It spiked enough interest that GM decided to produce 300 that very first year. Very limited in options and only coming in a convertible. the Corvette hit the ground running. 7 Generations later. Corvette earned its reputation as one of the baddest sports cars of all time. The Corvette has never strayed from its original heritage and since day one. it has become one of the most sought after vehicles of all time - past or present. As the years progressed from the first C1 generation. it seemed as though it became a quest from GM to keep pushing the envelope to see how many cubic inches they could squeeze under the hood. and by the late 60's the 427 cu. inch big block became the ultimate street machine and today the most collectable. No one wanted to pull up to a big block Vette at any traffic light in America. A 1967 Corvette Big Block Convertible is as close to the Holy Grail as you'll get when it comes to collectability. Please read on about the history of this muscle car. This car is a true survivor which was stored in a climate controlled garage for the past 32 years. The current owner of the vehicle had acquired the vehicle from a lady who won this car through a nasty divorce. The husband of that divorce bought this car is 1969-1970 when he came back from Vietnam. Drove it until the very early 80's. Within that time the car was painted from Marlboro Maroon to bright red. The original 427 Block. which we don't know if it was the 390 Horse or the Tri Power set up. was replaced with a 70's 454. It has 118cc open chamber heads and a true LS-6 intake manifold. Headers and full straight dual exhaust. It appears the engine still retains the Tach Drive Distributor and the original deep grove alternator. In 2010. the wife who won this car in the divorce. had her boyfriend PA inspect the car to make it road worthy. In order to do that a new set of tires. new brakes. front calipers. new soft top and rug along with a full tune up and fluid change. this Vette was back in action. We will bullet point the rest for you about this car. but please realize. it has been unrestored and other then the repaint. top and carpet. we just washed it and spray waxed it for the photos. We believe the vehicle's miles showing to be accurate. which are 51000. 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES!!F41 SUSPENSION WITH REAR SWAY BAR!!3RD TAIL LIGHT WAS ADDED IN THE 70'S!!RUNS/DRIVES - EXCELLENT!!ORIGINAL TRIM TAG AND VIN PLATE INTACT!!EXCELLENT CHROME AND BRIGHT WORK!!EXCELLENT GLASS!!DOOR GAPS ARE AS GOOD AS NEW!!ORIGINAL INTERIOR BESIDES THE RUG IS STILL INTACT!!RUNS DRIVES LOOKS AND SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!ALL LIGHTS AND ELECTRIC LIGHTS WORK PERFECTLY!!VALVE COVERS WERE REMOVED TO INSPECT ENGINE AND ITS CRISP AND CLEAN AS NEW!!AGAIN.
