This 2DR flat top "Impala" was a (ORDER ONLY) car. flat tops came in Biscayne 2DR or 4DR Sedan flat top. Very few of these were ever ordered. let alone that still exist. and its hard find a 61 of any kind in the condition this car is in !The car has its origional H code 1961 348ci V8. which origionally came with a single four barrel carb. The 348 is now a dual 4BBL which rules ! and it runs. idles and starts perfectly every single time :)The car came factory with a bench seat. (which we still have). it now has factory origional buckets from 1961. done in the factory upholstery as is the rest of the interiorcar has a wicked clean perfect ORIGIONAL headliner. a NON-restored UN-cracked origional steering wheel. the dash is UN-hacked and UN-restored as well and it is LIKE NEW !ALL replaced upholstery is from Ciadella. top of the line stuff. with a PERFECT and tight fit just as factory ! our city's best upholstery shop did the install. Mechanicals:348 Dual 4BBL carbs. with EdelbrocksB-cool radiator. electric fan set up. runs so cool you have to turn the fans off to build temprature :)no worries bout driving on 100 deg days. Dougs Headers/ with caps. ceramic coated. Flowmater 3" mandrel bent aluminized that fits flawlesly !700R4 Brand NEW fresh and shifts killer. B&M shifterNEW Power front disk Brakes Willwood. Drum rears. NEW as well. Vintage Air. ( So cold you could hang MEAT in there ) LOLBody: This car has never had a rust hole. a patch panel. or anything of the sort. EVER !the car has between 65-70% of it's ORIGIONAL PAINT !Origional paint:The whole nose is orig. as is the deck lid. both doors. lower rear valence. top of the (left quarter). ntire engine compartment radiator support. doorjambs a( inner and outer) . trunk jamb. bottom side of hood. Painted at some point long long ago:The roof. top of (right quarter). bothe rear quarters below the stainless. both rockers. This car is SOOOO straight it is scary. never smacked etc. NEVER ROTTED EVER!This car is NOT riddled with door dings at all. HOWEVER !This car DOES has some paint chips here and there and a few minor and SMALL scratches. I chose not to touch any of this up as the car has earned every bit of patina it has. the badges of honor i say :)An UN-dinged/UN-straighted/UN-damaged grill. and bumpers. ALL the chrome is origional as well. and in freaking incredible shape not crazed. hazzy. pitted. or peeling. ( do the look rechromed NO!) but they look like they might be 3yrs old living in arizona. not a northeastern car. Stainless on the car is all super straight as well. no complaints in that dept. Stereo. is a NON chop dash Bowtie unit. MP3 ready. with XM as well. This car is a time capsule. every light. and every switch works as it should. There is nothing to do but drive. UNLESS you decide differently. this car shows amazingly just as it is.
