For Auction/Sale: A rather rare. 1980 Chevrolet. 3/4 ton. 4x4 Silverado. I can't find another one. anywhere. There are 1980. *1/2 ton*. 4x4 Silverados. but no *3/4 ton*. 4x4 Silverados to be found. as can be witnessed here on ebay. as this is the only 1980. Chevrolet. 3/4 ton. 4x4 Silverado on here. This is a solid truck and very nicely appointed. Drive train has all the right stuff with a TH400 trans. NP205 cast iron gear drive transfer case and a factory 14 bolt full floater. locker read end. Has many other deluxe factory options like pwr/windows. pwr/door locks. A/C. pulse windshield wipers. factory tachometer. tilt wheel. cruise control. dual fuel tanks. split rear window. carpet. head liner and bed light. just to name a few things. Some things do need attention but it's all there except for the old A/C compressor. It was bad so it was discarded. It should be updated with a new style pump anyway. There's very little rust on the body. the frame looks good and solid throughout. the paint is fair and the interior is pretty nice. Tires are good. has new Edlebrock carb. new fuel pump. new exhaust headers. new air cleaner. new alternator. dual battery trays. etc. The engine does seem to have some little lope to it when idling but runs good and smooth when driving. Don't know if the lope is from a cam or something else. I didn't build the engine. It had a small block 400 from the factory but that was replaced with a 350. The truck is begging for a restoration. and that's what I was going to do but I just have too many other things that are taking priority so I'm selling it. It still has just under 100. 00 actual miles on it and the original window option sticker. For those who might want to lift this truck and put on bigger tires. the axle gearing is quite low so it could handle much bigger tires without having to regear it. NADA says the truck in good shape should sell for close to $7. 00 without adding on all the options this truck has or the fact that it's a Silverado. But.
