Description for Chevrolet Blazer 1989
For sale is my 1989 Chevy Blazer. This is a full size Blazer and one of the final years for the classic K body style. I am the second owner of this truck having purchased it in August 1999 from the City of Baton Rouge Fire Department with a little less than 12. 00 miles on the odometer. The Blazer has served me well over the past 15 years and I in turn have tried to take proper care of it. The engine has only had Mobile 1 or Amsoil for each oil change and it runs perfectly. When owned by the Baton Rouge FD they installed the interior spray on lining you see in the pictures. I don’t know what brand they used. but it is extremely durable. Almost the entire interior of the truck is lined. As for the mechanicals of the truck it runs and operates as it should. You can fly in and drive it home if you would like. The transmission was rebuilt less than 5000 miles ago by Plano Transmission and I just had a new fuel pump installed less than 1000 miles ago. The engine is all stock except for a Trick Flow TBI phenolic spacer which I installed soon after purchasing the truck along with an under drive crank pulley. The truck has seen very little use in 4-wheel drive. Almost exclusively when it snows in Dallas. Otherwise it has not been used as an off road vehicle. The 4-wheel drive does work. The interior has two areas of concern. The drivers seat needs to be recovered and the dash pad is cracked from the Texas heat and sun. The exterior has had one repaint per the BRFD. I had the passenger door replaced and the passenger side front fender after someone backed into it about ten years ago. There is a dent on the lower left rear quarter panel. See photo. Negatives: AC needs a charge Replace the front windshield Rust in the tailgate. It has been that way since I bought the truck. (See Photo) Dents on the roof from the Fire Department lights. Slight hail damage on the hood. Grill has cut outs for the BRFD warning lights. (See Photo) Missing one center cap on a back wheel. Needs a new pin for the rear glass crank lever. but it still works fine as is. Positives: Floorboards and underside of the truck have no rust. Low miles for the age of the vehicle. Runs and drives like it should. Power Brakes in good working order. Rebuilt Transmission Power Steering New Fuel Pump Tires have less than 5. 00 miles. Radiator has less than 500 miles on it. The removable top has not been off the truck that I am aware of. 4 Wheel Drive is in good working order. Feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos. Has been in Louisiana or Texas all of its life.
