1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 4-door sedan up for sale for the first time in 50 years. second time in its existence. We purchased it from a retired dairy farmer who bought it 50 years ago. stored it indoors and -- funny. but true -- only drove it a couple of miles to town on sunny summer days and drove it in local parades. This car is in remarkable. near original condition with the genuine patina of age. Not a perfect museum piece. but a true survivor that's in terrific shape for its years with only 41. 20 original miles. (Even has the original bias ply tires on it!) It has been carefully maintained throughout its life. Starts. runs and drives nicely. This car is fully loaded with all the accessories of the era. including fender lights. AM radio. defroster fan. rear window shade and marbled banjo steering wheel Body: 4-door sedan with suicide back doors. All body metal. including sills. trunk. running boards and fenders. are solid and rust-free. The previous owner stated that the car had been painted 50 years ago; paint is fine condition with minimal nicks. dings or light scratches. (Please refer to photographs; we have done our best to show condition accurately. ) Car has new running board mats and chrome edging along running boards. Doors open and close like they're new. Framework: The underside is very clean – has light surface rust. but is solid. Car has original suspension. Exterior trim: Chrome bumpers have some surface pitting and rust. Door handles and window trim have some pitting as well. You might like this vintage look. or you may choose to have the trim re-chromed. Grill is pitted and has a dented area near the center bottom. Headlights and taillights are in fine condition and work properly. Glass: Overall in very good condition. There is a chip on the back interior edge of the passenger front window. No cracks or chips in windshield or back window. Mechanical: As stated. starts. runs and drives reliably. Engine is an in-line 6-cylinder. 216-cubic displacement. Car has original 6-volt electrical system. Equipped with 3-speed manual transmission. shifts smoothly. Water pump recently replacedHeater core needs repair; fan works properly. Brakes need bleeding. Exhaust is loud. needs replacing. Original tires have some cracking. need replacing. Interior: Near perfect interior. Original wool bench seats show almost no sign of wear. Floor and sills look nearly unused. Headliner is intact and taut. All gauges are original and function as they should. Defroster fan (below and left of steering wheel) works. AM radio does not work; no diagnostics have been done on the radio. Banjo steering wheel has some cracks in the plastic-like marbled material. Horn button and horn work properly.
