Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1980
Please bear with the lengthy description of the car as I want to accurately represent the camaro. The car currently is not road ready as it could be classified as an abandon project. It is a car that can be road ready with some work or it can be the starting point for a restoration or even driven while work is performed. I intended to restore the car but recently came across a car that I could not turn away from. Here are details about the car and current status. 127. 00 miles on the odometerThis is a real deal Dark blue exterior Oyster interior z28 ac equipped car with a non original small block 350 with original 350 automatic transmission and original rear end. t-top car TITLE IN HAND. I WILL BE ADDING A PICTURE LINK WITH ADDITIONAL PICTURES OF THE CAR IN A DAY OR SO. EMAIL WITH ANY SPECIFIC PICTURE REQUESTThe car does run and drive but currently is in need of a starter and a battery. It would also need a thorough inspection of the brake system and floor patching and interior work prior to driving. The engine last ran back in September of last year before it was parked in the garage. I do not have the time to install the starter unless it is needed for shipping purposes. If you are the winning bidder and need it to run for shipping purpose I will be happy to have it running for the cost of the starter and battery. The following parts were removed but will be installed prior to the car leaving my possession:The hood which will be installed and pictures added in a day or so. the radiator and hoses. ac canister and lines. fan and fan shroud. The front seats will be bolted in but there is no carpet. First the bad:passenger rear quarter panel is badly rusted below the body line---it can be fix with a patch panel as the rest of the quarter panel is in excellent conditionthe lower corner near the rear of the rocker panel on the passenger side has rust---also can be repaired with patch panelthe lower passenger side fender has a rust spot---also can be fixed with a patch panel as the rest of the panel is in excellent conditionthe lower corner near the rear of the rocker panel on the driver side has rust through---also can be repaired with patch panelthe paint that is on the car is very shiny but the clear is peeling in various areas the passenger side front floor board and toe board are rust though---these to can be repaired with patch panelsthe drive side front floor board also has a hole the interior needs to be done over. headliner is missing and trim pieces have been removed but will come with the car driver front seat need to be restored the remaining seats are in good shape but they need new coverThe dash pad has tearsThe rope steering wheel need a good cleaning The transmission leaks fluid---needs new pan gasketDriver door has broken handlePassenger side rear spoiler section is crackedRear package tray was removed original wheels color matched to body with good tires and all caps and trim rings The positives:Real original z that is not butchered up good unmolested carFrame rails and truck pan are mint---started stiping the paint from the trunkac and all ac components are still on the carUnique color combo All panels line up as they should no signs of any prior accidentsThe nose of the car is perfect no flaws as are the garrillsAll panels that need replacing only require patchesDoors are in great shape no sign of rustInner and outer rockers are near perfecthood is perfect and i have the inner trim ring for the cowl inductionAll the glass is near perfectThe rear floorboards and the sections under the seats only have surface rustoriginal wheels color matched to body with good tires and all caps and trim ringsall lights and gauges work on the caroriginal exhaust manifolds and original style exhaust With a little work the car could be back on the road in no timeMy intention for the car was to replace the 350 with a 350 gm crate motor and drop in a new pan gasket on the transmission patch up the floor go through the brakes and make the interior livable as I drove and addressed the body work. With a good buff the paint will look half way decent and call be crazy but it kinda looks cool with the peeling clear coat.
