Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1957
I am auctioning an original 1957 Corvette that has been modified. The body is original. while the engine and suspension has been updated. IT is the start of a pretty bad ass Resto Rod. The car needs minor finishing to be road ready. This car has had a ton of Money spent on it. The engine is a built 383 stroker GM aluminum roller angle plug headsPertronix ignitionlong aluminized headersEdelbrock aluminum intakeHolley carbCustom aluminum radiator with dual fansScatter shieldMuncie 4 speedJim Meyer independent front suspension with disc brakes and a manual rackHeidts Independent disc brake rearend. (looks like a Jaguar rearend with a 9" center)Coil overs on all 4 cornersThe steering and front suspension are tight. This car is finished in Venetian Red with metallics added and a stock Venetian red waffle pattern interior. The interior is a new stock style Al Knoch interior kit. The steering wheel an aftermarket. stock looking smaller diameter wheel. The wheels are vintage ET aluminum 5 spoke wheelsThe car runs and starts fine. I have driven it around my shop but never on the road. The car needs the following finished to be road worthyTail lights need sockets installed in the housingsAlternator needs to be wiredBrakes need to be bledtail pipes need to be built and installedNeeds body weatherstripclock needs to be hooked upHorn hooked upfront park lights need to be wiredneeds a tune up. (carb and distributor dialed in)The front tires are a little too wideThe hood needs to be adjusted. fit betterThe grill oval needs to be adjustedThe paint is a 10 footer. It is an amateur job at best. I installed the carpet. but did not glue it down. The rear chrome bumpers and tail lights are decent. the windshield frame and door posts are fair. The front grill oval. teeth and headlight bezels are good. The hardtop is in fair condition. The doors and trunk lid open and close nicely. The seat tracks slide nicely. There is only a hardtop with the car. but the brackets for the convertible top are still mounted behind the seats. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT MY CAR. GIVE ME A CALL. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN TRADING FOR A BOAT OR A HARLEY. I LIKE THIS CAR AND IF I HAD THE TIME I WOULD FINISH IT. CALL ME AT NINE-SEVEN-ONE-TWO-FOUR-ZERO-EIGHT-NINE-TWO-ONE
