1972 GMC 'Custom Camper' 'Sierra Grande' long bed 3/4 ton 4x4This is one 'Grande' 'ole CA survivor. Same owner since 1976. Not restored. yet always maintained. Service records. nbsp;service manuals. nbsp;owners manuals. parts manuals. nbsp;maintenance log. original CA 'pink' slip. original glove box options tag and original build sheet from under the seat (showing this CA truck not only lived here. it was built here too. Freemont. CA plant). No rust. 1 repaint (a decade ago). very solid. straight truck. Motor Was replaced with a 350 crate motor (5/2/03). Runs excellent. No leaks to speak of. at least none to the shop floor have been noticed. Lots of neat stuff under the hood (headers. newer exhaust. newer carb and manifold. HEI ignition so it start up first try every time. K&N air filter. 4 core radiator. newer battery. added external fan operated manually from a toggle under the dash. etc). Transmission shifts smooth and confident. A/C is a factory dealer installed unit which is still complete (minus a condenser) with the fan blowing correctly. however lines to the compressor were by-passed when motor was changed (should not be too much trouble at all to get it blowing cold again). Power steering is effortless and smooth. very little play with no freeway wander. Power brakes in good shape also. 4wd. locking front hubs and transfer case working smoothly. Extremely nice. original interior. Perfect crack free dash. excellent seat. great door panels. headliner and sun visors. Above average carpet with no odors or stains. Everything works exactly as it should (lights. wipers. horn. signals. brights. heater. defrost. etc). Aftermarket Pioneer c/d stereo is unfortunate. but does sound nice. with a correctly installed matching amplifier under the seat and new speakers. Excellent bed which shows no big dents or bowed tailgate. Very nice original trim. chrome and glass. New tires with excellent original dog dish GMC hubcaps. Great roof (with no holes ever punched into it for cb antennas etc) and great original straight solid hood. Not show condition paint anymore. with it's share of small misc. scrapes and scratches. but still nice enough that you can't avoid getting attention where ever you go in it. RARE. rust free. California. well owned (garaged for the last 2 decades) Sierra Grande in soooo beautiful Green on Green. really doesn't get much better than that. DRD Motor Trade is a licensed bonded CA dealer.
