deadsexee Store 79' Chevy Short bed 4x4 Barn Find This auction is for a 1979 Chevrolet 1/2 ton Short Box factory four wheel drive pickup. This has been a farm truck for over 30 years. and has been a great vehicle. It currently has 85. 96 original miles. and it has a clear title. It has not been used regularly for over a year since the rear brake lines have rusted out. and it only has front brakes. One of the straps for the gas tank has rusted and broke. so it rarely leaves the farm now. The truck does run good. four wheel drive still works. tires are very good. but not really safe with the above issues. As you can see from the pictures. rust has invaded the cab . and the bed pretty bad. The hood and two front fenders have been replaced with GM metal. and are virtually free of cancer. As you can see. she has a different drivers side door. The frame has surface rust. but it is still in good usable shape. This has never been used as a plow truck. and does not have a hitch receiver on the back since several other 1 ton trucks were available on the farm for towing. The rear bumper has a tow hole. but it really is rusted out pretty bad. and would need to be replaced. With 5 other pickups around more storage space is needed. so it needs to go. This is a great restoration project for someone. These trucks are getting harder and harder to find. and when the are all put together. are bringing big $.
