Seatbelts SELLER REMARKS Custom trucks are hot right now. but it's not often that you see a big-block-powered C10 like this 1977 Chevy Silverado that has been treated to a frame-off restoration to boot. Expertly finished and equipped with upgrades like Air Ride and a long list of options. it's the best kind of truck to own: one that's both functional and beautiful. So you've got the truck torn down and stripped bare. what do you do? Paint it vivid yellow to attract attention! Actually. the beautiful finish looks exactly right. not too bright and not too dull. but just the way it might have looked back in 1977. It has a brilliant modern shine that comes from two-stage urethane paint and the bodywork underneath is extremely well done. The squared-off design of these trucks has always been appealing. and today it looks just about right with the lowered stance and oversized rolling stock. Door and hood fit is very good and all the original Silverado trim remains in place. including the stainless side moldings and big chrome bumpers. A custom grille gives it a smoother look up front and tinted windows help with the custom vibe. In back. the bed has been treated to a spray-on bedliner. and the finish is so nice you'll probably think twice before throwing anything in there. We sell a lot of vintage pickup trucks. but not so many that are this nice. The handsome brown interior works well with the bright yellow paint and isn't the same-old. same-old black that everyone else seems to use. The comfortable bench seat has been reworked and covered in ultra-leather. so it's a lot more plush and comfortable than the original vinyl setup might have been. A tilt steering column with a custom steering wheel makes it easy to get comfortable and the billet aluminum instrument panel updates a familiar friend. All the factory gauges are in excellent condition. including the ultra-rare factory tach. and a matching billet panel dresses up the passenger's side. too. The dials and switches under the dash manage the Air Ride system. which can adjust each corner individually. An AM/FM stereo radio still lives in the center of the dash and it carries desirable options like factory A/C. power windows and locks. and cruise control. New carpets and some matching vinyl on the dash complete the luxury-oriented makeover. The engine appears to be the truck's original 454 cubic inch V8. which was a pretty unusual upgrade in 1977. It's been thoroughly reworked with only about 1500 miles on it since the work was completed. It doesn't look stock anymore. with a set of finned valve covers and a matching Edelbrock air cleaner. all treated to color-matched yellow details. A Weiand intake manifold with a big Edelbrock carb feeds the torquey powerplant. while a custom dual exhaust system with long-tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers adds a muscle car soundtrack. The aforementioned Air Ride suspension makes it comfortable and easy to adjust on the fly. and it rides surprisingly well for a pickup. A TH400 3-speed automatic feeds a 12-bolt rear end. so it's got the hardware if you still want to put it to work. and with optional dual gas tanks. it offers bladder-bursting range on long road trips. Flashy 18-inch Bonspeed billet aluminum wheels tuck neatly under the fenders and carry 235/50/18 front and 295/45/18 rear Goodyear radials. You won't find many trucks of this vintage that are better-built than this. Add in big block power. all those comfort and convenience features. and a gorgeous paint job and it's a truck that really does do it all.
