Description for Chevrolet Nova 1967
We have for auction a 1967 Chevy Nova 2 door hardtop. It is a two owner Texas car and with documented 4860 miles. It comes with the original protecto plate. The second owner of the car purchased it in 1986 with 3300 miles as documented on the title. We have the owners notebook with dates of repairs along with mileage at the time and it will come with the car. This car is unbelievable! We feel like this is one of the best cars in the world when it comes to the original condition. There have been some replacement parts due to its age but the car is mostly original. This car needs to sit in a personal collection or museum. When we bought the car. we had all intentions of disproving the owners claim on the miles. The more we looked. the more we realized that this was the real deal. The paint is original and there are a few dings here and there but the acrylic paint still shines nicely for its age. You can see where GM missed a spot under the trunk as was common from the factory(see pictures). The trim is in excellent shape and the windows are in good condition. There is one small chip in the windshield. Bumpers shine great! The interior is in excellent shape. This Chevy sat in a garage the entire time it was owned. You can tell that it was taken care of! The 2nd owner had the goal of making the car look like it came from the factory. He started underneath the car in the rear as the rear of the car has been undercoated and the rear end was painted and new brake lines and fuel lines were put in along with new shocks. The undercoating stops at the rear of the transmission and you can see how clean the original steel is underneath. Unfortunately the owner passed away before finishing the front half. He did put new exhaust on it as well. When we bought the car it ran great at idle but the carburetor was gummed up. We sent the carb off to be rebuilt and put a new gas tank in it. The 283 which puts out 195 horsepower runs super smooth. The powerglide trans shifts like it should as well. The motor has never been rebuilt or painted and that is the way we wanted to keep it. We did a compression check on all the cylinders and they all registered between 125-130 lbs. All lights work in the car. There is no issues with the car that we know of. We have gone through the car from top to bottom to make sure it will be right for the next owner. The car came with factory air conditioning and the compressor turns freely although it needs Freon. We read in ads about how you must see to appreciate the car. That phrase is used too often. but this car truly is amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. Please feel free to come look at the car before the auction ends. You wont waste your time. We have not listed this car and it has never been listed by anyone in the past. If you want one of the rarest forms of Chevy Nova. this is it. None like it that we've seen or heard of. I am sure there are a couple in the world that are in storage under lock and key and will probably never be for sale. This is your shot at owning a piece of history.
