1 of 1 EVER MADE-AND HERE IT IS!!

1991-Z07-Automatic-Yellow Corvette Coupe

TOTALLY UNIQUE: This "One of a Kind" 1991-Z07-Corvette Coupe is the only documented one ever built!! The Z07 Performance Package was new for 1991 and was limited to coupes. It also required a manual transmission....although there is only ONE known documented Z07 built with an automatic... THIS IS IT!

This beautiful Yellow Coupe was originally built on 02/18/01 for the GM Product Evaluation Program. It was driven and evaluated by a GM Engineer/Executive for the first year and may have been used for one or more Special Events. It was sold by GM at the dealer auction on 05/20/92 with 2235 miles on it. In 1992 you could order the Z07 package with a manual or an automatic transmission.

ZO7 ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION PACKAGE: The Z07 option was new for 1991 and was limited to coupes. It combines the previously available Z51-Performance Handling Package with FX3-Selective Ride/Handling. But there were differences. In 1990 if FX3 and Z51 were combined some base suspension components were used to provide an adjustable suspension range from soft to firm. The new 1991-Z07 option used all heavy-duty suspension parts so the ride adjusts from firm to very firm. Intended for aggressive driving or competition only 733 Z07s were built in 1991...only 456 Yellow Coupes were built in 1991.

The Z07 Package includes an Engine Oil Cooler FX3 Electronic Selective Ride and Handling Heavy-Duty Springs Shocks Stabilizers and Bushings and Heavy- Duty Brakes. This well documented Corvette also has the Performance Axle Ratio. The result improves the Corvette's ride and handling characteristics in both the touring and performance modes.

G92-PERFORMANCE AXLE RATIO: The base axle ratio for 1991 was 2.73:1. The Performance Axle Ratio for the automatic was increased to 3.07:1. The gear ratio makes this Corvette even more fun to drive and GM added a bonus...when you ordered the optional G92 Axle Ratio with a coupe in 1991 you got less restrictive mufflers and an additional 5-hp and 5 ft.lbs of torque.

LET'S TALK TORQUE: We hear lots of talk about Horsepower and not enough about Torque. Torque is the real power measurement of an engine; it's what you feel in the seat of your pants when you hit the accelerator. Torque is what pushes you back into the seat of your cushion. The base 1991 Corvette was rated at 245 hp and 340 ft.lbs of Torque. With the G92 Performance Axle Ratio this Z07 has 250 hp and 345 ft.lbs of Torque. Plus the Torque peaks at only 3200 rpm. This means you have the power at the lower rpms where you can really use it.

Compare this to the Torque of the 1992-1996 LT1 engines-only 330 ft. lbs of Torque at 4000 rpm. The LS1 engine in 1997 and newer Corvettes only have 5 more ft. lbs of Torque at 350. But the LS1 doesn't develop peak Torque until 4440 rpms. Most of our driving is below 3200 rpms. That's why I think this 1991 L98-Z07 with the Performance Axle is more fun to drive than most of the newer Corvettes. It has the Torque at the lower rpms.

a book containing all documentation of car is included wasstarted by the second owner and has information history copies of titles of previous owners and gm internal memo sheets ....copies of these will be supplied upon request in PDF format ....ask and I will send them to you and answer any questions ....I will be adding more pics of it taken recently soon
