Description for Chevrolet C-10 1971
1971 Chevy C10 resto mod. This is a frame off restoration. New floor rockers firewall doors bed hood fenders. There is no rust at all on truck. Almost every bolt and nut was changed. 4 bolt main 383 stroker with heavy cam and aluminum heads aluminum intake aluminum valve covers every thing is new on engine top to bottom has approx 200 miles since engine was built. It has never been on a Dyno but the way the engine is built should be approximately 400 hp to the crank. I pulled the stock 350 transmission and put in a high performance 700R4. Complete new wire system with upgraded fuses/box for easier maintance and reliability with extra power sources for electrical upgrades i.e. power windowslocks fans and a/c. The original gas take was removed from cab and custom aluminum gas tank was placed behind the rearend which is much safer. New fuel lines new brake lines with added brake booster cross drilled slotted front rotors. Truck is lowered 2/4 for better stance and handling but still a truck. Boss 20/8.5 rims in front 20/10 inch rims on back. The rear fender wells and bed were given a small tub for the wide rims and tires. Bed is completely new with oak floor stained with black stain and polished stainless steel bolt/rail kit. The paint is two toned black and gun metal. I've been building this truck for approx 4 years with the help of very knowledgable friends and I've gotten the truck the way I want but it's time to move on. I've put more money in the truck then I will ever get back but I didn't build it to make money. There are a few things to make the truck complete bench seat needs to be recovered and a little fine tuning on interior. I didn't build it to be a show truck but I put a lot of nice options that I wanted I wanted a reliable fast protouring type truck that was loud. If you were to build this truck would spend about the 25K in parts not including labor. Not desperate to sell it but it's sitting in my garage not being driven. I have tons of pictures though out the build. To be honest I'm affraid to add up how much a spent all together in parts but when you spread it out over 4 years you loose track.
