Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1967
This auction is for an original matching numbers 1967 Corvette 327-350HP L79 convertible. Goodwood green with black interior. Muncie M21 with a 3:70 posi rear axle. The car has 78853 miles on the odometer and the old paperwork I received with the car supports this mileage. The original Protect-O-Plate shows the car was originally sold in Newark New York on January 4 1967. The next entry shows a 12 month service in Meridian Mississippi on December 26 1967. When we purchased the car in 2006 we were told the car had been in Arizona since the 70’s with the owner we purchased the car from having owned it since 1980. This car has never been restored or modified. It has a solid body and rust free frame. It’s my understanding the car was repainted sometime in the late 70’s or early 80’s. The paint is now old chipped cracked and faded. I don’t see any evidence of any major body repairs and the fiberglass appears to me to be original. The chrome bumpers are also worn and showing their age as well. All the window glass is good but the passenger side wing window glass frame is missing a piece where it rotates. The interior is also showing its age. The seat upholstery and carpets are torn and faded. The door panels and dash pads however are in nice condition. The car comes with both a soft and vinyl hard top. The soft top is torn and the hard top has a small cut (see photos). The car runs and drives great. I just drove it over 110 miles without any problems. It runs strong and doesn’t overheat in traffic or on the freeway. I don’t believe the engine has ever been out of the car. When we got the car it hadn’t been driven in about ten years. We drained and replaced all the fluids had the brake calipers rebuilt replaced the master cylinder and added a power brake booster. We replaced hoses the water pump fuel pump and the generic replacement 600 Holley carb was replaced with a correct 3810. The gas tank was already replaced when we purchased the car so the tank sticker was long gone. Everything on the car works except for the clock even the cigarette lighter works. The car comes with the original Protect-O-Plate owner’s manual and AM/FM radio operating instruction pamphlet. It also comes with some paperwork (receipts) for the car dating back to 1980. This is a very solid survivor type car that can be driven and enjoyed as is or restored if that is what you’re looking for. Here are some of the numbers from the car. I have done my best to accurately describe this car. The reserve price is fairly set and I will not reveal my reserve so please no emails asking what my reserve is. The car is available for inspection before the auction ends and I encourage you to inspect the car. The time to inspect is before the auction ends not after you have purchased the car. Please only bid if you intend to purchase the car and have the funds available to complete the purchase.
