Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1992
1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
I purchased this car in February of 2002 with 106K miles in OEM condition. It came all black with an L98 motor and 25th Anniversary badge on the dash. Since then it has been heavily modified. The outward appearance is deceiving but once you hear the whine of the supercharger and spot the roll cage through the windows you can tell there is much more to this car than meets the eye.
The new motor has about 18 miles on it and is still being broken in. It has not been raced or run hard yet but even with the fuel mixture running on base programming you can tell the car is going to be stupid fast.
Unfortunately I have not been able to work on it much anymore as I now have 2 kids. Over the last year I’ve been taking it around the block to keep things fresh but that’s about it. While it pains me to get rid of it pains me more to see the car just sit there and not be enjoyed.
Below you’ll find a list of specifications for the car. It is a summary not a complete list. There has been so much done to this car it’d be hard to list it all.
Please feel free to message me with any questions or concerns. If you have more questions than can be answered in a message please leave a good call back number and a time you’d like to be called and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have over the phone. I would suggest inspecting the vehicle in person before taking delivery. I’d also suggest obtaining a mode of transport for the car. Although it is drivable on the street it is not street legal by any means and it is not easy to handle on the road. Again please do not hesitate to get in contact with me. This car has been a joy to own and I want the next owner to be happy and satisfied with making it theirs.
With this vehicle comes the Accel DFI software and a CD with the fuel map programming that the car currently runs on (see photo). Additionally I will include the extra parts I have (see photo) the installation and operation manuals for many of the aftermarket parts and service manual for the 92 Camaro (see photo).
The work on this car was performed by multiple professional performance shops as well as by me. I worked as a professional mechanic for many years and obtained an ASE Master certification as well as L1 certification.

KNOWN ISSUES
DFI system needs to be tuned. It' still running only on the generic start-up program I was given with the system. This can be done on your own using your own laptop or most shops with dyno tuning capability can do this for you if they are familiar with the Accel program.
Windows are old and slow to go up and down.
Small body imperfections
2 small rips in outside of passenger seat
Supercharger belt likes to chew off a rib. Possibly pulley alignment issue.
Transmission likes to drip on my floor. Haven't looked to see where from.
Engine likes to hit 3500+ RPM before shifting into 2nd. Not sure if this is normal due to the stall converter and Hughes performance style transmission or what. Shifts hard and solid though and has always been like that. Figured I'd mention it though so if you plan on driving it on the street you won't be surprised that she doesn't cruise well.
Windshield has two chips on the passenger side. I decided not to replace the shield before listing thinking that the new owner may want to do dash work not care or replace the W/S with a Lexan type shield. However if this is an issue for you I can have it replaced.
I have photos of most of these issues but could not upload them due to Ebay's 24 photo limit. If you'd like any photos of specific parts or issues please feel free to contact me.
SYSTEMS REMOVED
Power steering Air conditioning smog systems. Windshield wipers. Rear seats rear carpet and portions of interior paneling.
I disabled the A/F ratio gauge and Fuel Pressure gauges and warning lights on the dash after installing the DFI system. Having the laptop in the car with the DFI dash panel makes many of these gauges redundant. However I left them in the dash to fill the holes.
