1968 SS 396 Chevelle Convertible project. Needs full restoration needs floors trunk pan and lower quarters. Very Solid Cowl and toe boards Someone cut out the front floors and layed pans on. Front wheel wells look good just light surface rust in pic Clear Texas title in last owners name Origional 12 bolt rear tinted windows. No windshield allways want to replace that parts under car go with another car. 1 of only 2265 real Chevelle SS 396 Convertibles made in 68 frame has surface rust but no holes should clean OK. Very End back rear frame brace pitted maybe should be replaced you can buy that piece Missing engine tran and front seat. It had buckets but I was going to go with bench with head rest I have had the car for about 8 years It was a decision to do this car or my 70 convertible and my 69 Roadrunner convertible and the 67 SS I am doing right now. To many projects I was going to build a 68 L88 427 motor for the car but not sure I would get to this one. 1968 true SS is worth more then twice a Malibu convertible plus they made about 7000+ of the Malibu convertible.Doors fenders trunk lid are all rust free and no bondo. Rockers are solid no rust except 1 small spot near quarter Top frame is all there apart and rust free even the header. Nice Hood just a litle light surface rust underneath.
