Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1966
The Errol Brown / Andy Anderson CorvetteOriginally purchased by Errol Brown in 1966 from Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles CA. It was ordered as a 425hp 427 Muncie 4-speed P/W P/B Transistor Ignition AM/FM Nassau Blue with Blue interior. This is documented by NCRS and the Car is also in the Corvette Race car Registry.Shortly after being purchased it was taken to Dick Guldstrand to be prepped for Competition. Mr. Brown raced the car at the various Southern California Tracks in the A Production Class. It was raced under the #68 until the early 70's. It was then sold to Andy Anderson who ran the car under the current #30. Andy continued to race the H&R Dyno Sponsored car until the early 80's. The engine blew up sometime around 1982 and was parked at H&R Dyno before being sold to a third owner. The third owner stored the car and let sit until 2006 when he decided to install the current 350 Small Block and sell the car. This car is an excellent piece of race history and would be perfect for anybody wanting to get into Historical Racing. As mentioned before the car currently has a 400hp (claimed by previous owner) 350 Small Block. The original Matching # Muncie 4-speed is still in the car. The rear Gear is a 3.55 posi. The paint on the car is the same as it last ran in the early 80's. Some of it is beleived to be the original Nassau Blue Paint. The body appears to have never been hit as all the original bonding strips are intact. The fender flares were nicely done and are without any cracks. The car runs and drives great and is currently registered. It retains it's original VIN Tag and trim tag. The old pictured posted were all taken at the Famed Riverside Raceway.Other than the engine now being a small block the only other changes that were made were the seats fuel tank and the roll bar. The car was raced using lightweight buckets and the current seats were put in for street driving at some time. They are original upholstery leather covered 66 seats. The original Simpson Fuel cell was removed and a stock replacement tank was installed (we have the original cell and it will be included with the car as well as the original window net). The drivers and passenger door bars were removed at one time for street use as well. I do not have those. The car has an original Big Brake Corvette Proportional valve and the wheels are Real 15" x 10" Magnesium D Spoke Americans. The car is available for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction early. If the auction meets reserve the auction will be allowed to run and the car will go to the highest bidder. Please feel free to call with any questions909-920-6797
