Description for Chevrolet Other Pickups 1953

Selling no reserve 1953 5 window Chevy pickup with title. Good starter truck to restore or rat out. There are parts missing no bed sides or front fenders inner fenders hood gauges and other misc items. What is pictured is what you are bidding on. I have the tailgate and the panel that is behind the cab grille and both bumpers all are in decent shape. The cab is straight and in good condition with patch panel in the cab corner. There is some rust in the firewall and inner fender support is rusted and the other one is missing. Floor has been patched as well as around the door hinges and rockers. The bottom of the doors have had work done to them but are in pretty good condition for the age. No all dented up. Needs new hinges. Windows roll up and down and wing vents open and close. Running boards are salvageable but the supports are rusted bad. Rear fenders need work with small holes in the front small dings with a couple of brazed patches. All the glass is good with one chip on the edge. Gas tank is solid. Dash is good and so is the steering wheel. Solid frame. Brakes are all there. Drive line is complete with 3 speed transmission with column shift. I believe the engine is a 215 but could be a 235. It has been converted to 12v with added alternator. I did take the valve cover cap off and what I saw was not all gummed or dried up. It appears it had a newer cork valve cover gasket and does turn over. I firmly believe this motor will run and had been running due to the 12v upgrade and newer plugs as well as the anti freeze that ran out of it when it was moved. Radiator is included. The previous owner tore it down prior to my purchase. I thought about fixing it up at a later date but that isn't going to happen due to storage and other commitments. I tried to take as many pictures as I could to describe the condition of the truck. All in all this is a decent starter truck to restore or just put it back together with a couple of bed sides and a v8. I described this as best as i can Email me with any questions you may have.
