Description for Chrysler Imperial 1965
Vehicle OverviewYou have now just discovered a Very Rare and Un-Restored 1965 Imperial Crown Coupe in amazing condition and history. This 1965 Imperial Crown Coupe is in amazing original unrestored condition for the exception of 1 repaint in its original factory color of Patrician Gold. In addition to being an Iconic Collector Car, his 1965 Imperial Crown Coupe was originally owned and driven by Marine Brigadier General John D. Harshberger, ho's name is on plaque on the dash, ho was a World War II Hero and Pioneer in night time air missions with Fighter Attack Squadron 531. Please google his name. Very interesting story and history for those of us who recognize the greatest generation this country has ever seen. Total production for this Crown Coupe in 1965 was a mere 3,974 units. We have had several Imperial Crown's thru our doors over the years, ut this is the first Crown Coupe we have acquired due to the scarcity and rarely will you find one anywhere near the condition of this example. This car has been owned since new by only three obviously very careful and mature owners and seemingly always been garaged as it is both a rust and accident free true survivor car! The car boasts its original 'Patrician Gold Metallic' (Code 771) color paint with original Tan color trim and as stated, nd has had just three owners since. Sold on January 28th 1965 at 'Barker Motors Inc.,' of Eugene, regon to marine brigadier General John D. Harshberger. The car is being sold with the original owners 'Imperial Operating Instructions' manual with required maintenance services recorded through 1969. It was possibly the Aircraft styled door handles, witches and aircraft inspired seating along with the 100-year old Claro Walnut wood inlays that lured Brigadier General Harshberger to the Imperial Coupe, ut some say it was just another way for him to feel human again after climbing out of a very sparse and uncomfortable fighter plane after a night of attacks on Americas enemy. Below is a brief list of vehicle features and highlights. VEHICLE FEATURES AND HIGHLIGHTS:
