Description for Chrysler 300 Series 1968
I am selling my 1968 Chrysler 300. This is a second owner car that has been taken care of. It is a 4 door hardtop with a vinyl top. It has a 440 engine, 8 3/4 rear axle (unknown ratio), and 727 transmission. This car is a great around town cruiser and everything works on it, including the hideaway headlights. Recently it has had many items replaced including plugs, wires, cap, rotor, PCV valve, fuel filter, and ignition coil. This car has 4 wheel power drum brakes, power steering, power windows, and the original AM radio which still works well. The engine is not numbers matching, but period correct and replaced by the original owner. Not sure if the odometer rolled over or not for the mileage on the body. This car had a restoration done by the original owner in 1984 and it still looks amazing. The wheel covers are optional for the year, but not the setup the car came with. Those wheel covers are in the trunk and do come with the car though. The underside appears to be solid with the factory textured coating. Optional things the car could use is a heater core replacement (currently bypassed), have the steering column gone through (no steering issues, just the retainer for the turn signals is not working so the lever must be held), new tires (I trust them around town but would suggest new ones if you plan on doing any extended highway driving), and a steering and transmission leak which are minor and I don't see them being worth the hassle of fixing. None of the things mentioned hold the car back and it still makes a great cruiser as-is and I wouldn't change it. This is a very rare car and I have taken great care of it as did the original owner. This car is sold as-is and please be serious before bidding. I am selling this car because I don't have enough time to take it out and enjoy it anymore. This car also comes with a cover andmiscellaneous parts in the trunk.
