Description for Chrysler 300 Series 1964
After nearly 40 years. I am downsizing my collection. closing my museum. and moving to smaller quarters. As such. I will be keeping just a couple of my favorite cars! Up for sale is an absolutely STUNNING 1964 Chrysler 300 Sport Coupe! This car was owned by one family since the time it was new. then spent the rest of its life until now in private collections/museums. It has always been garaged/kept under cover. It originally was in Arizona and Nevada. and for the last several years has been in North Carolina. It has never been subject to harsh winter driving or rust. Has not been wrecked. It is ALL STOCK. never modified or hot-rodded. The 300 Series was Chrysler's flagship luxury sports model for 1964. This one is a dry rust free Western car that has been treated to a really nice mechanical and cosmetic refurbishing. Body was stripped and refinished in original teal color. Very nicely done. and holds a great deep shine. Body is laser straight. Interior has been completely restored to stock original using a complete premium kit from Legendary Industries. the premier manufacturer of Mopar interiors. Looks like 1964 new inside. Chrome and bright work are all nice Western original. The owner before me was a long time (30 plus years) Chrysler mechanic and dealership service manager. He went completely through this car mechanically (engine. transmission. cooling system. brakes. exhaust system. fuel system. brakes etc. ) to ensure that it performs flawlessly. He had it on display in his private Museum building. and also used it frequently as it was his favorite driving car! It is such a nice car that when I saw it. and he said he might sell it. I had to have it! I bought it immediately. I have since had it in my collection and museum. and have taken it to several tours and long distance car shows. It drives and performs like it's 1964 all over again. I have had NO issues with this car at all! Only thing I know of that does not work on car is the electric clock. Car is nicely equipped as follows:1. 383 Commando 4bbl high performance V82. Torque Flite 727 automatic transmission3. Power steering & brakes4. Bucket seats & console shift5. RARE tilt steering wheel6. AM pushbutton radio7. nbsp; Reclining passenger's side seat. 8. Full instrumentation including performance indicator on consoleMechanically. this car is awesome. The engine and transmission are smooth. tight. and powerful! Starts instantly and does not hesitate. Steering and suspension are super tight. No rattles or creaks. Drives and handles awesome! Last fall I drove it on a 350 mile tour and had no issues whatsoever! Like sitting in your living room. I would drive this beauty anywhere! Doors do not sag and close effortlessly. Drives better than most late model cars I have been in. All original body panels with no patches. This really is a museum quality car! This is the best of all worlds. You can take it to car shows and cruise ins. display in your own collection or museum. take it on vintage tours. or if so inclined. use it as a regular vehicle. Much better and much cheaper to buy and own than today's computerized plastic overpriced cars. Doesn't have to pass any complicated state inspections. and parts support is great for vintage MOPARS. Most importantly. you are buying a moderately priced quality car that will NOT depreciate in value. and with reasonable care. will actually appreciate as time goes on. Most importantly. remember. nice stock vehicles are where the vintage car hobby is headed. Anyone with a big checkbook can restore a derelict from the "dead". but they are only original and stock ONCE! If someone GAVE you a "project vehicle" you could not restore it for what you can buy this "turn key" car for! They just don't come along like this very often. Don't miss it!ABOUT ME: I have been classic car hobbyist. enthusiast. and trader for nearly 40 years! My museum/ collection favors nice original "Survivor" cars from the mid 1950s to about 1980. I have been at the same place in North Carolina for over 27 years. Please call me at 704-661-1326 with any questions. Thanks very much!NO RESERVE!!!! NO RESERVE!!!! NO RESERVE!!!!
