Description for Chrysler Imperial 1952
1952 Chrysler Imperial two door hardtop.
Nearly $40 K spent in restoration over the years. At 75, I think it is time to reduce my collection. That said, I have put a very low reserve price on this rare gem. The car runs and drives well as any 67 year old car does and has the original 331 Hemi engine and original working fluid drive It has a recently restored interior including carpets, seats, head liner, and trunk, all to look as it originally did. Many hundreds of dollars were spent on preparation for painting and the exterior of the car is laser straight with no bondo, etc being used. There is a small dent on the rear fender (shown) where I backed into it with my Prius that I think can be pulled out. I have paint codes to give to the new buyer. It has reproduction Chrysler wire wheels and new wide white tires with fewer than 300 miles on them. Intalled are new Optima linked 6V batteries. There are some finishing touches needed, including redoing some of the bright work, etc. There were places of repair on the inner rocker panels, but I don’t believe other places like quarter panels, trunk pans, doors, and fenders ever had any rust repair. The car needs to be regularly driven and tuned up. My collection has gotten the better of me and I just can’t keep up with regular maintenance.
Included are many extra parts gathered over time, including the original wheels and hubcaps plus many extra many extra mechanical and trim parts as shown. I have included photos of them along with photos of the car.
You are welcome to have yourself or your agent personally inspect and drive the car. I encourage you to do so. If you have questions, please email me and I will do my best to answer them. I want the car to go to someone who will complete and drive it.
The car will be sold as is and the buyer is responsible for the organization and cost of transportation.
I will be listing my other cars soon, including a 1977 MBZ 450 SLC with just 50 K miles on it, a 1950 Town and Country two door hardtop, 1958 MBZ 220S sedan, and others. Stay posted as I get them out of storage and ready for sale.
I will only accept offers from well established bidders with excellent ratings.
