If you are looking for big 60s American style look no further than this fabulous 1966 Chrysler New Yorker. Great colors and options make this a car to actually drive and enjoy -- and to carry along five of your friends if you like. Clad in Haze Green Metallic over a dark green interior. this New Yorker has quite a presence on the road. The body is exceptionally straight with good gaps and nice paint quality. Paint is newer and. we believe. the correct color for the car. Chrome and trim are very nice and appear to be original. Glass is excellent and original. Some rubbers are newer and some are original but all are in good serviceable condition. No known rust issues or panel replacement; the underside is all original. still wearing original undercoating and in very good condition with only one very small rust spot in the passenger floor pan. Trunk floor is excellent as well as door jambs. The interior is mostly original. with the exception of the seats which have been reupholstered. and shows well. The dash is particularly nice. the door panels are in good original condition. headliner is excellent. dash pad is crack free but has pulled up slightly in one corner. Carpet is slightly faded in a few spots but again. is serviceable. "Olive" -- as we have affectionately named her in honor of her original owner per the certicard -- is very highly optioned. Ordered with power windows. power locks. power seat. air conditioning. power steering and power brakes this New Yorker is comfortable and easy to drive. Everything is functioning with the exception of the power locks. All gauges are working. a/c and heat function well. power windows and seat work. and the AM radio sounds good. Under the hood is Chrysler's 440 cubic inch V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission. The previous owner claims that both engine and transmission were rebuilt in the not-so-distant past and it runs and drives great. making lots of power and cruising effortlessly down the highway. Brakes and steering feel good. We assume that mileage is correct at 101. 00. Tires are newer and are fitted to 15? rallye wheels. We have fitted a period Chrysler hubcap over the rallies but you can take your pick of which look you prefer. All in all. it's an attractive. turn-key driver driver with lots of options and style at an attractive price point.
