In reference to this car not only was it the top of the line Chrysler. not only was it an Imperial Chrysler but it was a CROWN Imperial Chrysler! As the French would say. the Crown Imperial is the crème de la crème. So you could bet that Chrysler put every possible creative engineering advance and every fabulous finish and accessory into this level car. Just to make sure that they didn’t miss any tricks they decided to make the car what we would call today GIGANTIC. the car is just over 19 feet long and uses one of the largest displacement engines ever made during that time period which is 440 cubic inches and also very advanced for this time would be front disk brakes. fender mounted turn signals and a sure grip differential with 2. 94 ratio which makes the car excellent for cruising. Also somewhat rare for this time is the factory tinted windows. automatic beam changer and tilt/telescopic steering wheel. Top this off with every other power accessory you would expect even power antenna and one of the most fantastic automatic transmissions made prior to the turn of the century 2000. This car was made to impress in 1968 and still accomplishes the very same thing.
