Description for Ford Model A 1930
MORE PICS COMING!!!Hello. thanks for looking at my '30 5-Window. Chopped/filled Ford Coupe! Finish this as a Classic full fendered Hotrod. Highboy. or a very cool and popular Ratrod! The top has a VERY nice chop and fill. The car retains it's original frame. but has a '40 ford drop axle. and early 60's ford 8" rear end. It has a early 60's Ford 260 which we believe came out of an early Mustang. Fairlane or Falcon. This is a California car with one small spot of rust- through on the passenger side lower cowl panel. History: My father purchased the Coupe in 1974 from a coworker as a project to keep my brother and I busy and out of trouble. The car had a California title. and spent it's entire life there prior to being transported to North Dakota in 1979. where it sat in a covered barn until 1984. Me in my infinite wisdom as a teenager (in Highschool) thought I would be able to get it streetable. so I registered the car in North Dakota with a title update. Well. girls were my priority. so needless to say the car did not get much attention. When I left North Dakota to head back to SoCal. the car stayed with my father until he moved to Utah in '84. He has stored that car for me indoors since about two years ago! (I owe him lots of rent). It has since been stored indoors in my garage. I had initial thoughts of purchasing a TCI frame/chassis. but found that my real love was old corvettes. Hence selling the coupe that's been in the family for 41 years. I recently bolted the fenders/running boards back on the car for photos. The front frame horns are broken off. and will need to be replaced or re-welded on so the front bumper and fender braces can be secured. The chromework is about 40 years old. I am not sure what kind of steering column was installed. but in my opinion it should be replaced and go with Vega steering box. Most of the wiring is present for the chassis/engine. A gas tank was mounted behind the seat in the trunk with an electric fuel pump under the body. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner. and was started/ran in the mid 70's. The oil is still clean. and it turns freely by hand. The carb is way over-sized for the motor. It came with what we believe to be an original Ford Cobra GT350 intake manifold. With a little work. I believe it will run again! It has a standard 3 Speed tranny which probably came from the same donor car as the engine and rear end. The chop looks fantastic. as well as the top fill in. The body is very straight! The front fenders have a few stress cracks that will need some welding. It will need a front splash shield/apron as well. There are newer window regulators. as well as some good glass. The chopped glass "inside" frames for the rear and port windows are all there as well. The car has been sitting on the crappy rollers you see since '82 when I robbed the nice wheels for my highschool car. The car is available for personal viewing/inspection. All parts pictured are included with the car. nothing more. nothing less. It will need to be winched on to a transport vehicle or trailer. I will be happy to assist in those efforts. A $500 deposit is required no later than 48 hrs after the winning bid is placed. If not received. the car becomes available again. The car does not leave my possession until payment is cleared (no exceptions). On Apr-04-15 at 20:27:44 PDT. seller added the following information:Added additional pics.
