Description for Chrysler New Yorker 1966

You are bidding on a newly restored one of a kind 1966 New Yorker that is ready to cruise and jam. This car is sweet as the pictures will depict. I purchased the car a month or two ago with thoughts of keeping it for myself but have since changed my mind. To many other toys I like better. The owner in which I purchased it from is a custom renovation shop. He claims the previous owner of the vehicle sunk over 25K in the renovation and it looks like it. The motor and chassis are all numbers matching and has 53K original miles on it. I know very little about the car but this is what I see and can confirm: The restoration is fresh and very. very well done. This car has an unbelievable sound system in it. I counted at least 14 Kenwood speakers and 4 big blasting base speakers with what looks like dual amps and an auxiliary battery in the trunk. 8 of the speakers are located behind the bumpers. Another 4-6 intercom speakers are located underneath as well as there must have been a microphone hooked up to the stereo. It looks like there is an alarm system added as well. None of which I have ever heard myself because the auxiliary stereo was removed. A professional automotive sound shop did the work and said it will jam again for a couple of hundred bucks for a basic stereo. The engine compartment is noteworthy as it is nicely done and includes a lot of chrome. new paint. aluminum radiator. auxiliary fan. custom made aluminum valve covers. new carb and intake. etc. I was told it was not completely rebuilt due to the low miles. It is my understanding that the tranny was rebuilt during the restoration. The interior has original seats that are covered with plastic to further prolong their beauty. the carpet was new as well as the door panels. You will notice in the pictures that the rear speaker shelf was custom made and looks magnificent. The headliner is new as well. The trunk is custom as well and the pictures may not do it justice but it is impressive. All moldings look to be new as well as the bumper and grille. placards and letters. The underneath is very clean and was rustproofed. The exhaust is new and makes the car sound healthy as it has just the right rumble. This is a must have car for someone who wants to make a statement without breaking your wallet.
