Description for Citroen 1975
I have owned this cool CITROEN MEHARI for many years and it has been parked in the back of my garage. It is an exceptionally sound original car. Meharis are now 30 to 40 years old and most of them have self destructed! Remaining ones have been patched up and repainted. This one has it's original finish with a few minor cracks and dings (see photos).
It was my intention to repaint the car and I even acquired a whole new rear panel from France (included with the sale). Meanwhile the car is presentable and useable as is. It is missing the jack (same as the 2CV) and the dash switches. The air ducts are with the car but need to be installed in the dash with new engine compartment ducting. Everything is available in France from "Mehari Club Cassis". There are a couple of cracks in the windshield but it is flat glass so should not be too hard to replace.
Mechanically identical to the 602cc 2CV models. 2 cyl. 4 speed. Good running and driving condition. Mechanical parts are available at very reasonable prices from FPS WEST in Washington State. Very sound chassis. Drive shaft boots are cracked but are an easy and cheap fix. Needs wiper blades.
Clear California title in my name. It is registered in CA as a smog exempt 1975 model but it is possible that it is a 76 or77 model. Speedo reads 45346 kms (approx. 28160 miles) which I believe is correct. I purchased this car in Italy many years ago and it had been garaged a long time when I got it.

I hope this survivor car finds a good home! It has great potential. Certain unexpected health problems have made me realize that I can't fix all the cars in the World.
I have tried to describe this unusual car as best as possible. It does need TLC but is a lot of fun and a great addition to any Citroen collection.
