Top-of-the-line Pallas 1971 Citroen DS21. The last and most luxurious Citroen of the famed DS21 line. This car was originally made for the U. S. market (one of 100. I have been told). so it came with a catalytic converter factory installed in 1971. Car was meticulously restored by the famed Wheels of Time in Pine Plains NY. 9 years ago. The restoration included a total strip-to-metal frame restoration and repaint in the correct original color. All replacement parts used in the restoration were hand-carried on Air France by a courier. The current owner's investment in the car is $31. 00. As you can see from the pictures. rust issues have developed in the undercarriage. Owner has chosen not to do anything about it at this time. as we are confident she has another 15-20 years of cruising before rust remediation will be necessary. In any event. if the new owner were to chose to remediate. our best estimate is that it would be a $5. 00-$6. 00 job. When you consider that she is worth $50. 00 to the right person after the work is complete. it makes this a worthwhile investment. (Owner needs to sell to help fund a recently acquired Vintage race car). You don't have to be a Citroen nut to appreciate this great cruiser. She has been shown at numerous local charity car shows with great acclaim. Mostly. the car is a head-turner as you cruise around on a Sunday afternoon or drive it on the interstate on the way to a ball game. The soft quality of the luxury ride cannot be described. driver and passengers all feel as if they are surrounded by the leather seats. This Pallas is generally regarded as the greatest piece of automotive design/engineering of the 20th century. both by automotive collectors. engineers and design curators at major art museums. I am selling this car for one of my close friends. The car is currently located at my repair shop in Pine Plains NY. A lift is available for personal inspection. which is highly recommended.
