This is a 1980 Daihatsu Micro Kei truck, and this comes with a clean Vermont Title/Registration and is street legal! This is an ultra rare left hand drive and runs great! This is a very unique truck in which it has custom made rear fenders and makes it really look like a mini truck! The truck drives nice and tight and runs well. This is an excellent truck for local drives and the bed opens up flat and so it is very easy to load stuff on and it turns heads everywhere you go! People always ask to take photos and it is a very great conversation starter.
The interior of the truck is in pretty good shape. The previous owner has redone the seats and it looks good. All of the interior buttons and features work great. It is missing the headliner. I bought it like that. You can easily just clean it up and leave it or attach a headliner. The interior smells nice and clean with no weird odor or smell.
The exterior of the truck is in great shape! The paint is in good shape. It does have minor dings and dents from being an old truck but no major dings or dents anywhere. The whole bed folds down flat. All the doors, hood and tailgate all open and close perfectly. What makes this truck really stand out and unique is the fenders around the tailgate that was custom made. It really makes this truck stand out over other micro kei trucks. Overall the exterior is would say is in really great shape.
Mechanically, the truck is in excellent shape! The truck runs very strong It starts up in 1 crank. All the gears shift perfectly through all the gears. The truck does not leak any fluids and the engine does not shake or vibrate. All 4 tires are matching look like in good shape. They are mud terrain tires and so it makes some road noise I would put a set of road tires so it rides better but there tires do make it look very aggressive. I just replaced the battery a few months ago and the carburetor was replaced last year. The carburetor might need to be adjusted a little as it starts a little rich but runs fine after. The carburetor came from japan and we just installed it and didn’t do any adjustments. The truck runs and goes up way over 55 mph but the cluster only reads up to 25 mph so not sure what the exact stop speed is. I have driven this all over town and keeps up easily at 55 mph.
Overall the truck is in great shape. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge. This truck is not for sale in California as it is not California kosher and will not meet CA emissions.
