Datsun introduced their Z Models in 1969, tarting an era of affordable sport GT two-door coupes whose line continues to this day with the 370Z. Sold internationally under the name 240Z and domestically as the Fairlady Z, his model is quickly becoming one of the most desirable import sports cars. These cars came standard with many advanced features that were optional on most other sports cars, or instance independent suspension and front disc brakes. Datsun priced their 240Z to compete with the European cars, ut began to dominate their market with Datsun’s (Nissan) growing dealer network whose prices were vastly less expensive than the European dealers.

This 1972 Datsun 240Z is a nice example of the company’s “halo” car. Repainted in a bright green with the original saddle interior, his is a great example of an early series I Datsun 240Z. The paint is in overall very good condition, ith only minor road use showing. All of the body panels are straight with only minor indentations found upon closer inspection. Overall the body and paint finish is typical of what is seen on cars in a higher price bracket.

Driving this 240Z is a real experience, he inline six sounds healthy and has plenty of torque. This car has no problems matching modern traffic requirements. Braking is confidence inspiring, s well as, he steering inputs too.
