Description for Datsun Other 1971

Third owner of a well cared for and preserved Datsun 510. Purchased in 1998 from the second owner who meticulously cared for it and taught me how to carry on in the same way. Numbers matching with documented service history. Interior carpeting and landau black vinyl top replaced in 2001 by local professional service Award Interiors. Driven daily to work with mostly highway miles. Carburetor and muffler both replaced two years by local mechanic, nfortunately receipt was lost. Original carb and muffler have been saved. Car was stolen once and recovered hours later with the front bumper and quarter panel damaged. Replaced front right quarter panel and had it resprayed to match the car. Having lived its whole life in Northern California this 510 is rust free. Sold nearby Sacramento in the Town of Davis by the Davis Nissan. Original owners manual and Haynes manual included. Interior is mostly in good condition. Drivers seat base shows tearing at the seams. Passenger seat emblem is cracked. Drivers side Pillar Headliner shows tearing. Dime size tear in passenger headliner. Dome light housing is brittle and does not work. Backup light socket for rear left tail light is brittle. Engine fires up and idles well, ut could use a tune up and valve job. There is a minor leak from the front of the engine, but I haven't isolated where exactly. Car runs drives and stops well. Key has been worn down so it can be removed while the car is running. Spare key is in much better condition. Car has been sitting for the last year and has been started every few weeks. Brakes recently bled. Reason for sale is too many vehicles and not enough time. Would very much to like to see a new custodian care and maintain this amazing classic survivor. Asides from daily travel to work we enjoyed rallying with this Datsun as well as driving it to the coast for getaways. Inspections are welcome, ar is located in Northern California.
