1979 DATSUN 280ZX 5 SPEED MANUAL COUPE PROJECT CAR

Description for Datsun Z-Series 1979

This is a great project car for someone that has the time. The Z was on a Non-Op status and when I checked with DMV last month to verify it's current status they show it has been dropped from the active registration and can be brought back up to a current active reg with a $100.00 fee but the car will have to be driven or towed to a DMV location for them to verify the VIN. I am not the original owner, his was purchased at a Mechanic's Lean Sale.
With that out of the way here is the status of the car and parts included with the car:
- a straight good condition hood is included but not installed
- the interior has been removed but I have the original black high back bucket vinyl seats and also have tan fabric low back w/headrest seats from a 1982 ZX GL
- both bumpers have been removed but are included
- a good condition passenger side headlight bucket is included, ot installed
- doors currently on car are from a 1982 ZX-GL, ave electric mirrors and I think are also heated & power locks, riginal doors are included
- I believe I still have the console and original radio
- the 5 spoke wheels are not original to 1979 but are included, ame off of a 1981 ZX
- the driver side rear quarter panel needs replacement.
- I also have the hatch that someone had installed (probably from a 2+2), replaced it with the one currently on the car
- the car was driven to the current location 15 yrs. ago, robably started 6 times during that time, ut can't remember when it was last started. Car does run at this time.
- Z will have to be towed from current location. Car does run at this time.
- mileage is unknown since the speedo not connected at time of sale.
