Description for Datsun Z-Series 1976
1976 Datsun 280z, utocross, CCA. This car was built 14 years ago and run on the track ~2 times. It met all SCCA requirements at that time, s you can see in the pics, nd with a few hours work you could be racing. The car was parked in an enclosed garage and has sat ever since. Adding a battery, leaning the tank and foam fuel filter, nd changing fluids would bring it back to life! These unibody cars not only look cool, ut are perfect for autocross due to rigidity and resistance to flex. This example has little to no rust, ustom paint, nd TONS of expensive high-performance upgrades. Here's a list of what you get:
- F54 head
- Schneider cam and heavy duty springs
- Crane Hi-6 ignition system
- Jazz 5-gallon fuel cell (you need to replace the foam filter after sitting)
- R200 differential with 3:90 gearing
- Hooker headers and open exhaust (sounds amazing)
- 4-speed manual transmission
- Carrera custom coil-over suspension on all four wheels with poly bushings
- Full 2-inch diameter welded cage
- Custom aluminum paneled interior
- Aluminum safety deck for fuel cell access
- Kirkey aluminum racing seats with RJS five-point harness (SFI spec 16.1)
- Removable steering wheel
- White face gauges
- Driver's safety window
- Four NEW Hoosier R225/50ZR14 heat-treated racing slicks
- Extra fiberglass hood for reduced weight (still in primer and no hardware included)
I would love to know someone was driving this car again. Please note that the pics are new, ut I am now 300 miles from the car and cannot provide any more. I have described the car to the best of my ability, nd as the pics show, t would cost many thousands of dollars to build this car. So bid with confidence. Please message me about delivery. I might be willing to deliver for 75 cents/mile, ut only if it makes sense for both of us. For example, 'm not going to drive 300 miles so I can load the car and deliver it 10 miles from where it is now. If, owever, hipping is prohibitive for you, e may be able to come to an agreement. Just email me. Also, lease don't bid if you need approval from the wife, irlfriend, other, hatever until you have that approval.
