Selling my 1969 Datsun 1600 Fairlady Roadster. Long time southern car, ith fresh down to the bare metal restoration with a stack of receipts for recent engine work, arts and tires. Body off restored. New pads where body sits on frame. New floors installed as well as body insulation. Beautifully painted in silver of a very straight body. Body was stripped down to metal and minor metal work done, hen primed in yellow urethane primer, locked and then painted with 4 coats of base coat silver (PPG) and 4 coats of clear. Then block sanded and polished, he paint is stunning.
This Datsun runs very well and combines the best of Japanese dependability with attractive styling. Converted to electronic ignition ($400) and with a new set of SU carbs ($909). Engine runs cool, as excellent oil pressure, ll gauges function properly including lights and horn. Receipts in hand for new carpets, eat covers, iscellaneous chrome items such as inner and outer door handles, brand new tires, ew brakes, ebuilt master cylinder and slave cylinder, ew pan gasket, ew top, ew fog lights. Clutch and transmission are excellent and shifts through all 4 forward gears smoothly as well as goes into reverse with no problem; brakes stop the car quickly and firmly with no pulling to one side or another. Newly replaced shocks, ery nice driving car, specially with the top down. Charging system works and car always starts once key turns ignition. Car does have manual choke but it is not necessary to use to start the car. Car has the original tonneau covers.
