Description for Datsun Z-Series 1974

This is an early 260Z with a production date of 7/74. Yes it is in primer but before you jump to conclusions on the condition of the car finish reading the description. I bought it as a one owner car that was taken off the road in 1983, ut in storage on blocks and didn't see daylight till this year. It had 64,800 miles and except for tires and battery was 100% original. It had very minor rust that has all been repaired properly. The interior is intact with original carpets, eats, oor panels, adio, perfect dash and steering wheel. The paint was all original with no collision damage anywhere. After doing the spot repairs I put one cover coat of 2k primer so its all one color. If it does not sell, will strip and paint to excellent driver quality along with new seats, rim, mblems etc. Mechanically it needed no major work. I replaced/rebuilt/repaired anything that could cause a problem on the road. I kept it all stock including the flat top carbs and it runs excellent on both cold and hot days. I saved everything that was removed from the car. It's registered, nsured and I drive it all the time. If someone were to come and inspect the car I will drive them anywhere an hour drive will take us. It's a Great start for a restoration that anyone could do. No major structural, echanical or interior work is needed to make a wonderful driver or, f your pocketbook allows, show car. I'm not a professional writer or photographer - what you see is it.
