Description for Datsun Other 1970

This 1970 Cony 360 wide was built by Aichi. a division of Nissan that still builds Nissan vans to this day. Its extremely rare. my research suggests that there may only be 40 of these in the entire world. Parts are available. however. as Cony forced all of their US dealers to buy large stocks of parts. I have consulted with Paul from littlecartrader. and he has wheel cylinders and other parts for sale. This truck has been in a barn for 30 years !Its original owner was The University of California at Chico and I have the records showing the University ownership as well as the complete service records! I have replaced the tires with extra wider and larger Load Star. DOT highway approved 205/65/10 light truck tires. Also repainted wheels and replaced all wheel bolts. I do not have an ignition key. but I have a signed pink slip. is out of the system. so no back taxes. The camper shell has a fully functional latch and the tailgate works. It also has a custom rear bumper. Both shell and bumper made in Sacramento by Cardo Industries. The bed measures six feet three inches and is big enough for a twin mattress. nbsp;I have not attempted to start the engine. but the story I got was "Ran when parked" The engine turns freely and is 2 cylinders air cooled. Has an oil tank. Fuel tank is excellent. exhaust system is excellent. Surface rust is there but no rust thru anywhere except for one area on drivers side floorboard. hole about the size of a quarter. see photosSteering wheel needs to be wrapped in leather. the original plastic covering has rotted away! Seats are not original. This truck attracted huge crowds when I brought it home on a trailer. I think it would be perfect as a rolling billboard to promote a business. If you have any questions. call me at (707) 413 3103. The truck is located about two hours north of San Francisco. Bid to win. you probably won't see another!I know that many of these have actually been re-imported back into Japan. due to their extreme rarity. Happy New Year !-Scott Church
