Description for Datsun Z-Series 1976

Hello fellow Z lovers. Im placing my show 280z up for sale in hopes that a new year means a new home for this jewel. I no longer have time or the funds to invest into this car and truthfully all my funds are tied up on my other series 1 240. This is a great strong car thats been up and down the coast for the past few months and had no problem making the trip from Texas to California. that is until the fuel pump gave out and rendered it un-usable. This car is a strong driver and has a 5 speed tran in it for those highway cruising speeds. Overall this car is one heck of a deal for someone willing to invest a little bit of time over the weekend. As it stands the car is a real head turner and people are always walking up to me at a gas station trying to tell me how they love the look of the car and how they grew up watching the Z's speed down the street etc etc. I have upgraded a few things on the vehicle. most notably will be the 5 speed tran. the front an rear bumper (closer to a 240 vibe. got rid of the ugly huge bumpers) and sound system. the tires have plenty of life in them and I dont see why someone would want to replace them unless your looking to get a different set of tires on the car for a different look. the car has no rust that I can see and I've been underneath the car with a punch checking the common rust areas and I've yet to find anything on this car. Like i mentioned this was a show car and i tried maintaining it as clean as possible. now for the bad. :(the fuel pump started leaking and it appears that there is a leak at the junction where the hose goes from the fuel pump to the fuel line. This in itself is an easy fix and shouldn't take someone with a jack. nbsp;jack stand and a few wrenches an hour or so. Secondly there is a short in the wiring of the vehicle that I was unable to find (unfortunately I am not as proficient as i would like in this area) . what this means is that the once working sound system will not turn on. now wait. the electrical works fine. the dash lights. turn signals and everything else works perfectly fine. the only problem appears to be on the radio/center console. lastly this is worth mentioning. the front passenger side panel. behind the front wheel is dented. this was not due to any accident or hit and run . the vehicle simply was stuck on a poorly built driveway and the genius AAA worker thought it would be ideal to stick a jack while the car was on an uneven surface. The car slipped a little and dented the panel. other than those things mentioned the car is a jewel. Once again this car is a project car that needs a little TLC to get it running and on the road again. I hate to have the car sit around without anyone carrying for it and thats why I'm listing it in hopes that someone will take better care of it or atlas give it the attention it needs. Should you have any questions feel free to ask. I will gladly work with the buyer and take a day off of work to make sure this car gets shipped to you or picked up by a 3rd party (at your cost). Thanks and have a great day
