Every time I am out in the car I get multiple comments on how great it looks and how 280z's are rare and almost never seen anymoreI purchased this car 18 years ago from the original owner with 24. 00 Miles. I have treated it with great care ever since. Always garage kept. rarely driven in rain (if caught out in a storm). only driven in summer months usually to the local car show or on date night with my wife. The car is 99% original with a few updates. Motorsport header was installed 7 years ago giving it a few more HP and a great exhaust sound. I have the original exhaust and manifold in great condition and they will go with the car. 10 years ago I had a professional repaint in the original light blue metallic paint code 305. All steps were taken to provide an excellent paint job including removing panels to paint hidden surfaces like door jams. The paint shows very well today with only minor imperfections. The front valence was replaced by a MSA fiberglass air dam at the time of the repaint. Bumpers were painted black by the previous owner and 1979 zx wheels installed painted black giving the car a great look. I have a set of very good chrome bumpers that are available if the new owner would like to return to original chrome. Car is numbers matching and in original great running condition. Starts every time. Oil changes every year which turns out to be less than every 400 miles. No major mechanical issues --ever. The most recent and only notable issue was 2 seasons ago the throttle position sensor had to be replaced. All 4 Shocks were replaced. I purchased them through MSA but I cant remember the brand. Although. I remember purchasing the high end expensive ones. Body is super straight and has never had a collision. Interrior is in excellent condition with 2 imperfections. The passenger seat looks like new but the driver seat is cracked an tearing in the bucket. I have had plans to have it repaired but never got around to it. There are seat covers on it now. The dash has 2 cracks in the normal spots and a MSA dash cover is installed. Interior panels are all in great shape. Carpet in great shape. I think the carpet was replaced by the previous owner. All gauges including the clock work properly. The car has been taken to Watkins Glen Glenora Wine Cellars Vintage Grand Prix race weekend numerous times. It has never been raced but it has been featured in the antique auto show 3 times and taken laps on the course. It was also entered in the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival Tour de Marque and has taken the Founders tour. It has run the old track being showcased numerous times and the original race entry stickers are on the car for provanance. I will include pictures of the car on the race track at Watkins Glen International. Overall. the car is in great shape. runs and looks great. It is not a perfect show car but it is worthy of going to auto shows and it will get looks. The car is in Rochester NY. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged.
