Description for Datsun Z-Series 1973
A very sweet and original 1973 Datsun 240Z car in classic Datsun orange. Extremely well maintained for a car nearly 45 years old. Super clean inside-out and under the hood, no rust. Starts, runs, and drives very strong with plenty of pep and great manual 4-speed transmission response. Easy and fun to drive! Equipped with starting throttle and it is functional. All electrical working, no notification lights on. Paint is in very strong condition, a couple of minor scrapes and imperfections from time, a spot or two of bubbling about 1" x 2" but this garage kept car is sure to please the eyes, very few touch-ups visible. No rust which is a problem from these specific cars. This one is very well maintained mechanically and cosmetically. You will be pleased. Also, the car comes with dozens of documented paperwork for the last 20 years approximately. Three owners throughout history and thoughtfully preserved as records indicate, tuned specifically by Datsun mechanic. Interior imperfections are a small dash crack (typical), there's also some old black tape to lower portion of door handle (likely concealing small corner tears), and the center console needs a screw for the hinged console to stay put. Stereo has been replaced some time ago with a mid to late 90s CD player system, (no amplifiers or stereo speaker upgrade). Seats and carpet are very clean. The driver door will not lock. Awesome wood steering wheel and Datsun shifter knob. There is nothing to report regarding the mechanics. The most important part of the car is its strongest aspect. Great runner- owner drove from Champaign IL to St. Louis MO (well over 120 miles) no problem. No leaks or projects to attend to- EXTREMELY CLEAN AND SOLID NUMBERS MATCHING DRIVE-ABLE CAR ready for the shows or to be a flashy daily driver on the road, you choose.
